Yes, I agree, makeup by Mario, full face of fenty, jaclyn cosmetics, Patrick ta and maybe the new Kylie cosmetics? Also new Morphe products. I also have been really interested in colourpop products recently though I don’t have any.
I feel like this sorta development is very expensive, so I don't think she is in position to do this right now. there is a reason why small brands often have small selection of shades of foundation
Fun fact: some of rare beauty’s packaging ( foundation and concealer) has a ball top so it’s easily accessible for people with arthritis like Selena herself🤗 I thought that was super subtle and nice of Selena to do.
It’s okay you didn’t like it. The brand markets itself as enhancing beauty and not hiding imperfections. It is just not for people that like heavier or more expressive makeup looks, so I’m glad Tati recognized that :)
Says she doesn’t like it, still showers it in compliments. Discusses ways the products can work on a more individual basis with other products, which is probably how they’d be distributed anyway, lol. This is what we miss Tati, keep doing you. (I don’t wear makeup at all btw😅)
I slipped into makeup because of her!! She made it so approachable and its just hit or miss and just bc it didnt work out the first time (bc i wanted to wear a lil sth but i always messed up, so i just got annoyed and didnt wear makeup) THEN i stumbled upon this queen and made me realize well just see what works and what doesnt and keep trying to find your personal best product and application way :33
This foundation and concealer combo is a fave on my skin! Paired with cream bronzer , blush, and highlight is my daily go-to. I’ve definitely gotten into a less is more approach in my 30’s though. Fabulous having you back, Tati!
The concealer is my all time favorite. It’s the only one that I’ve gotten close to finishing and will use up all the product. It’s so pretty underneath the eyes and isn’t dying and doesn’t settle into my fine lines.
This is the thing I love about Tati she is super honest. I personally LOVE Rare Beauty products and use it mostly everyday. It's not for everyone some things may work for you and some may not and that's okay
Rare Beauty is a breath of fresh air in the world of super-pigmented, full-coverage, whole shebang products. Love, love the foundation, the angular brushes, the liquid lipsticks, the illuminating primer, the cream blushes and even the round makeup sling bag. Her foundation is literally non-comedogenic and sensitive skin friendly.
I have to admit, I was genuinely surprised by Rare Beauty's foundation on my skin - I have really, terribly, bruised (purple/red) cheeks due to scarring/Lupus and the concealer and foundation (despite being really lightweight) I personally found really buildable and it covers my butterfly rash so wonderfully. Like everyone else is saying if you want pigment - their liquid blushes are AMAZING.
I have personally found less is more with this foundation; it didn’t wear well when i was dotting it everywhere, but when i used a little less and blended it out, the coverage was still lovely and it wore much better. Addendum: pressing powder into it with a puff (i used tarte setting powder) works much better than a brush
I love the honesty!!! I love the insight she has on how this is not for her, but others might love these products. Makeup is definitely on an individual basis. Despite not liking most of the products, Tati was able to provide constructive criticism and she made efforts to be kind about it. So glad you are back!!!!!!!
I second this! I love JH (roast me if you want) but I want to hear Tati’s opinion on her face products. The liquid lips are nice but I mean everyone has a liquid lipstick.
I love everything I've tried from her line- it's definitely for those who like a lighter, more natural makeup look. I know you didnt care for the after look but on screen it looks so good!
This is the kind of video that i missed. Compared to other "beauty gurus" now focusing on challenges, product endorsement etc. Tati is just reviewing products genuinely. I love it!
When in my 20s, all I wanted was to cake on that makeup and go full glam every day. Now being in my 30s, I only want the more lightweight, natural look, basically a no makeup makeup look every day. Rare Beauty is the perfect line for me!
I always feel like I'm in the room with you, and you're that friend who teaches you about make up. Thanks for coming back! You look so much happier than you've done for a long while last year and before.
I personally love Rare Beauty's products. However, I also do not like to wear a lot of makeup, usually I just slap on some mascara and call it a day 😂. But on those days where I am feeling dressy, Rare works perfectly for me and the price is amazing. Sorry it didn't work for you, Tati ❤️
Can relate ❤️ I love Tati ! Love the Review but also Rare Beauty works amazing on my skin I’m totally obsessed lol I used to wear lots of makeup everything full coverage 😂😵💫 but now I’m all about looking natural and not so much coverage. Love u Tati !!
Me too!! I hated foundation because it made me feel cakey and it was just too heavy for me, so I never wore it. I tried out rare beauty’s foundation and I absolutely love it! It feels like I don’t even have makeup on. Personally, I recommend for anyone that doesn’t like foundation! ❤️
The full coverage trend is out; the no makeup makeup trend is in. This is why Rare Beauty is on point--it embodies the no makeup makeup look. The brand wants people to feel beautiful without having to cake their faces to death.
Her brand has received a lot of hit or miss reviews. The one thing that's definite is that the brand is for people that don't like to wear a lot of makeup. Incredibly minimalist products.
I feel like her products have very unconventional textures and that's why it's so hit and miss. For example, foundation instead of liquid or cream, feels like oil. Liquid blushes feel dry and siliconey upon application, brow pencils are so soft and pigmented compared to majority, lip product textures are really different. I personally love the line and the look it creates, but I see why some people might hate it.
The other blushes she has are SO pigmented and feel insanely soft when applied with your fingertips. I love that part of the proceeds of Rare Beauty go towards helping bring more awareness to mental health and resources to help get mental health education into schools. ❤️ Love that you're back!!! Xoxo
I personally really like rare beauty but definitely not for a full face glam look but you need to try the liquid blush because it is super pigmented and the eyeliner is awesome
I'm soo happy that you explained that this line of makeup is for ppl who just want a minimum makeup look bc ppl were dragging Selena when they reviewed the makeup and they complained about the packaging of the foundation&others that had the thing at the top of the caps.Selena made it that way for ppl who have arthritis like she does!
The company made several statements saying their packaging was not intended to help people with arthritis. It was a false claim started by some reviewer who made an assumption based off the different shape of the packaging. Circular shapes do not help with opening for people with disabilities. If anything, it hinders it. Square packaging would be much more sufficient
She did not. That was proven to be false. Someone emailed Rare beauty asking a few weeks after they launched and they confirmed the packaging was not designed with that intention.
I think the whole point is to give an honest opinion. If this makeup doesn’t work for you, then it’s perfectly fine to say so. So many celebrities are coming out with makeup lines and it’s important to test the products and just keep it real. There is so much competition in the cosmetics industry. Makeup artists have their cosmetic lines. So much out there. How does one choose? This is a way we can see the products demonstrated and then we can decide if we want to buy it. I respect Tati’s opinion. If the foundation and concealer does not work her then she gets to say so. Thanks for a thorough and honest review.
i think all influencers are different types of reviewers. i think if a product doesn’t work for tati she will call it a bad product, but let’s say for example, mannymua looks at a product he will just expect the product to do what it says not necessarily be perfect for him. i think it depends on if you’re looking for an over all product review or consumer review. also i love them both; not trying to compare or bring down.
According to Selena herself, this is a makeup brand created to let people know that they don't need heavy makeup to feel good about themselves. I agree and love this foundation because it doesn't hide my imperfections. I'm 47 and know a thing or two about makeup and have always preferred a natural look. You looked fine but obviously not your preference. It's okay. To be fair though, the foundation does look great on the skin .
When you’re an influencer, you have to be careful not to offend the brand though. Plus it’s a new venture for Selena Gomez so Tati is trying to be kind.
@@time2livelife The whole point of videos like this is to tell consumers If the product is worth it or not,...Reviewing it's about being objective not subjective.
I mean no offense, I like both Tati and Selena but at the end of the day, Tati is a beauty guru not a MUA. Beauty gurus are notorious for preferring only the most full-coverage, highly pigmented and the whole shebang kind of techniques and products. This is not 2016. With MUAs and people who do realistic makeup (Robert Welsh, Hindash Alexandra Anele etc.) coming up on YT, people are shifting to their techniques as they look way better in real life. These people have especially loved Rare Beauty . A brand like Rare Beauty isn't meant for Tati. It's a whole different vibe than hers. Tati does like medium coverage stuff ngl. But Rare Beauty borders Glossier vibe. I think these brands are meant for people who already have good skin. So I'm glad Tati gave her critical review because she looks out for everyone and everyone won't like it. It's a very different kind of makeup.
Dear Tati, I cannot express how much your content means to me. I am again stuck in a terrible place with no friends, and the one thing that makes my days better is re-watching your videos and enjoying the esthetics of everything. Your voice, your elegance, your humour. Thank you for posting again, and thank you for being so genuine! Love, M.
@Sunset 🎀 ....I missed @Tati too. While she was gone I re-watched all her videos & I'm *Absofreakinglutely giddy* that she's back. Her video's are my drug! LoL.... Not that drugs are funny. 😘😘😘
I’m sorry to hear you’re going through this. The last year and a half took a toll on everyone in different ways. I hope you can find some happiness in your life.
Can’t say this enough. I’m so freaking happy Tati is back. I miss old school RUclips. I unsubbed from almost ALL the beauty gurus because I was so sick of them. Tati comes back and I now remember why I used to love this shit.
I’d honestly started to get bored with makeup videos and makeup in general. Your videos are so fun and have rekindled an interest in makeup for me! I’m so happy you’re back. 💖
Foundation is difficult for new brands because it’s difficult to develop and manufacture (in the right quantities) for each shade, but I’m sure Tati + Seed Beauty’s expertise could pull it off amazingly. IMO she should do a primer first!
I think she’s probably a little too close with Scott Barnes (JLo’s MUA) to do a video on the line and be fully honest. If my friend was involved with a product and I knew it was over priced and the price was a point of conversation, I’d just avoid the product all together
“Not everything can work every time, and not every day can be an awesome makeup day." This is just one of the reasons why I love your reviews. You are so authentic and honest in reviewing different products, whether they're super mainstream and popular or we've never heard of the product before. I have a rare beauty product and some days it looks great on my skin, and other days it's just not it. Sometimes we just have off days, and that doesn't mean that a product is necessarily bad, it just means it didn't work for us on that particular day/time.
You look beautiful like always but I think maybe you just like the full face more than the natural face and that's perfectly fine. We all have our fav looks to go to. :)
Me too, it's kinda weird not seeing them on her finger. They definitely need to be given back. On her older videos that is what I would look at half the time, they are beautiful.
I agree completely. The liquid blush is the best product I've tried from the brand. The second I saw her pull out the balm blush, I said out loud Oh, Tati, no!
@@missmishka8379 I know I was like I already know how that’sssss gonna go down... because I got the stuff right when it dropped so I used it for months and realized the foundation can look REALLY shitty with certain things under or on top of it... but if you get it to work *chefs kiss* Tati probably doesn’t really have time for allll of that because of everything she’s got going on and usually the normal person doesn’t either. But I got it right on the first try and then tried the foundation different ways and omg it could rePEL certain products! But I still love it bcuz when applied with things that work it is just STUNNING. And I noticed the liquid blushes work with everything
I actually love the cream blush I have from Rare Beauty, weird! I wear it on bare skin or with a little concealer and no powder tho so maybe that’s why?
@@skinsciencebymira for sure. On bare skin it’ll work, but literally with nothing else... Things get messed up once you put certain things on top of; or before.
I am really glad that you were honest about how you felt. Maybe it was just me, but with the lighting and stuff- I couldn’t see the imperfections you spoke of and I thought your makeup looked great.
I love Rare Beauty! The foundation is my absolute favorite for everyday makeup. I tried all different types of primers with this foundation, but I like the finish best without primer.
It’s nice as a viewer to see the beauty community get back to what we loved so much about it. The reviews, the new makeup, you guys being happy. It’s just a great re-start for this community hopefully.
The other style of cream blush Rare Beauty (it's in a concealer type of packaging) has is WAY more pigmented and I LOVE it. Love your vids Tati. Glad you're back.
I’m here for the honesty. When that pink glided on with the first lip balm I was a little shook, like that was sidewalk chalk pink, that chunky opaque, pastel situation. And maybe that looks bomb with another skin tone! But I’m glad you tried the other lip color you went with because it’s definitely gorgeous!
I am mindblown by their foundation. My skin usually hates most of them, i get oily, you can see dry patches, they cake up etc. But this one? It looks fresh and skin like all freaking day. Selena and her team did a hella good job! And your review is right on time imo. The brand just went global so it will help some people :)
I adore how you review things so thoroughly. You give brands and products REAL reviews! You often mention other products of a brand that works well while giving constructive criticism. QUEEN!
Good video! Although a little criticism, I feel like when you try more “natural, your skin but better” brands, you should try it from the standpoint of someone who wants that instead of trying to get full coverage from it.
I love most of the products from Rare Beauty and the foundation brush is a must have for me. I use it with every foundation I apply and I already have 2 of them for now 😅I was so expecting her to appreciate the brushes more out of everything lol but oh well. I’m just super happy to have Tati back ❤️❤️❤️

There is nothing wrong with subtle makeup BUT that has to perform well too!! In fact, more work goes into looking natural using makeup !!! It didn't look right as Tati applied it. Just because the brand is by someone as lovely as Celena Gomez, she can not pretend that everything is great!!
@@geyj1 I tried it myself :) it works great . I wear subtle makeup & also you can check so many other makeup gurus & see for yourself how great it looks. & she’s selena gomez*

My fave Rare Beauty products are the Lip Gloss Balm & the Liquid Eyeshadow. Since I’ve had to stay home with the kids so much this year, I haven’t had many opportunities to do a full face of makeup. The gloss balm & liquid eyeshadow, with a little bit of glitter topper, make me feel like I at least tried. Lol! I’m so happy Tati’s back! 😍
I have to say, as an oily skin type, I have stayed away from most of the Rare Beauty products but I LOVE the liquid blush and the liquid liner has very quickly become my ride or die.
This brand is perfect for me. I have unproblematic/sometimes dry skin, so when I pair the foundation with the Fenty setting powder- it really looks good on me (like I’m not wearing too much makeup)
@@TenaciousTurtle05 Oh man, I loved the setting powder so much that I tried the foundation- and I HATED it. The formula dries too fast and it makes my skin look really textured. Simply not for me
I think a TikTok would help you reach a younger audience/demographic but personally, I feel overwhelmed with the amount of content platforms that exist nowadays (especially TikTok). I personally prefer IG reels!
EVERY influencer raved about these products & I bought the foundation & returned it the same day, & I have very dry skin, I hated the foundation, so glad you’re honest
I think that was Selena’s whole point of her line. Like everyday use not caking your face. She looks good idk why she feels she doesn’t look right but to each there own.
Probably just personal preference, plus we’re seeing her through the camera while she’s seeing herself up close, and I think we’re all our own worst critics. I agree with you, I think she looks good.
I love Rare beauty because I like very lightweight makeup and lots of shimmer/sparkle ✨ It’s definitely personal preference and a lot of these beauty gurus prefer heavy coverage. Idk if she used sunscreen but the sunscreens I like double as a primer for my skin and make the foundation look so beautiful. Edit: also I have dry skin even in the summer so that probably "helps" with me liking the products, like I don’t get that sweaty face problem that she’s talking about when she says everyone struggles with it 😅
I've heard a lot of people who prefer fuller coverage say that the blush you tried was a problem with lifting the foundation. I wonder if the face products would fare better without that blush? you might like the liquid blushes better!
But that’s the thing - the brand is not for full coverage lovers it made it really clear that it’s a lighter base and is meant to enhance not transformation
@@eloisewalker2533 well, she is using the lighter coverage foundation and is still having problems with the cream products eating away her foundation.....

An auric review would be so great! I want to try it but I don't have a lot of money to buy stuff just to try it 😅
👏
and the morphe 2 line
Elf too with all the cream products
"Can someone please make that perfect duo?" If only Tati owned her own beauty line where she could make that...
Yes!!!! Thinking the same.
Haha exact thought when she said that!
I feel like this sorta development is very expensive, so I don't think she is in position to do this right now. there is a reason why small brands often have small selection of shades of foundation
Same🤣😂
she does have a beauty line she needs to branch out and do foundations and blushes, concealers ect.
Fun fact: some of rare beauty’s packaging ( foundation and concealer) has a ball top so it’s easily accessible for people with arthritis like Selena herself🤗 I thought that was super subtle and nice of Selena to do.
@@oo-vh2fo even if it wasn't it's easier to open with that top.
It’s okay you didn’t like it. The brand markets itself as enhancing beauty and not hiding imperfections. It is just not for people that like heavier or more expressive makeup looks, so I’m glad Tati recognized that :)
Who else is just so elated that Tati is back?! Makes getting ready so much more fun! ❤️
Me oh my gosh ❤️ still can’t believe it ❤️❤️

@@justbecca2414 oh totally! Me too!! 🥺
She made it so approachable and its just hit or miss and just bc it didnt work out the first time (bc i wanted to wear a lil sth but i always messed up, so i just got annoyed and didnt wear makeup) THEN i stumbled upon this queen and made me realize well just see what works and what doesnt and keep trying to find your personal best product and application way :33
Lol Covid stuff..I used to wear some now with the 😷 less every day..
Same!! I love all of Rare Beauty’s products.
Same I loooveee the Rare beauty concealer, is the only one that works for me, but maybe its just not her style of makeup:)
Same I wear the foundation every single day. Anyone know when the line will be releasing a bronzer?
I really love the liquid blush and the liquid soufflé. I really want to try the liquid eyeshadow next!
Speak on it
I love the Rare Beauty liquid blushes. Should’ve tried those instead of the cream.
Agree
Me too
I was hoping she would review too! 😩
No they only last two hours and moved my foundation. This line is horrible
@@fulltime2551 obviously not everyone had the same experience.
Tati, it would be so awesome if you could make a beginner's series on eyes, lips foundations, etc. It would be nice to have everything in one place :)

Yes great idea!
I‘m sure she did that kind of video. It’s called something like „starter kit“
@@freddyem2522 Yeah, but that doesn't cover techniques in detail. It just covers products, and only drugstore at that.

I was a little sad she didn't get to try the high pigment liquid blush. That stuff is like BAM, a dab will do ya.
Tati. Help a girl out & gimme some opinions on Jaclyn Hill’s products. I’m kinda dying to know what you think!!! 😂💕
I second this! I love JH (roast me if you want) but I want to hear Tati’s opinion on her face products. The liquid lips are nice but I mean everyone has a liquid lipstick.

honestly i love her brushes with morphe they are amazinngggg
I love everything I've tried from her line- it's definitely for those who like a lighter, more natural makeup look. I know you didnt care for the after look but on screen it looks so good!
Love this idea!!
I appreciate Tati’s honesty. I think this brand really works for people who like more of a natural makeup look, like myself.
I don't like to wear much makeup either but I still wasn't a fan of a lot of their products. The liquid blushes are good tho
I feel the same way. My dry skin eats it up and it sits beautifully
Me too!! I hated foundation because it made me feel cakey and it was just too heavy for me, so I never wore it. I tried out rare beauty’s foundation and I absolutely love it! It feels like I don’t even have makeup on. Personally, I recommend for anyone that doesn’t like foundation! ❤️
That shows how important it is to try products yourself. Everyones skin is different.
The full coverage trend is out; the no makeup makeup trend is in. This is why Rare Beauty is on point--it embodies the no makeup makeup look. The brand wants people to feel beautiful without having to cake their faces to death.
The thing is that you can get the same natural effect with cheaper products
You’re not late, everyone else was placeholding while the queen came back. Obviously
WORD!
YES!
Yes i wanted to buy it because everyone and their mom was buying it but not anymore
dude, most EXCELLENT Tati comment eeeeeever! so good!
I am happy that more ‘no make up’ make up brands are popping up. There are already plenty of brands that do full coverage/very pigmented make up
The other blushes she has are SO pigmented and feel insanely soft when applied with your fingertips. I love that part of the proceeds of Rare Beauty go towards helping bring more awareness to mental health and resources to help get mental health education into schools. ❤️ Love that you're back!!!
@@kristenastrup5629 I never read the statement from the company! I just listened to Selena Gomez address it!
100% agree
i think all influencers are different types of reviewers. i think if a product doesn’t work for tati she will call it a bad product, but let’s say for example, mannymua looks at a product he will just expect the product to do what it says not necessarily be perfect for him. i think it depends on if you’re looking for an over all product review or consumer review. also i love them both; not trying to compare or bring down.
I feel kind of bad that she can't express herself without having to apologize,... it's ok if you dont like the product tati 😔❤
I totally agree with you! This is the kind of honest, raw and down to earth we need. I'm so happy Tati is back I could cry 😢
I think it's because Tati is nice, and there is a real person behind the brand. I appreciate how she is never overly negative.
Dear Tati,

Why doesn’t Tati Beauty make that perfect foundation/concealer duo? 👀
Totally 👍🏼
Right? I was thinking the same thing!
Foundation is difficult for new brands because it’s difficult to develop and manufacture (in the right quantities) for each shade, but I’m sure Tati + Seed Beauty’s expertise could pull it off amazingly. IMO she should do a primer first!
Maybe she was foreshadowing 😏

Please review J-lo's over priced line. I'd love to know your thoughts.
I think she’s probably a little too close with Scott Barnes (JLo’s MUA) to do a video on the line and be fully honest. If my friend was involved with a product and I knew it was over priced and the price was a point of conversation, I’d just avoid the product all together

I have a rare beauty product and some days it looks great on my skin, and other days it's just not it.

@@skinsciencebymira for sure. On bare skin it’ll work, but literally with nothing else... The concealer was made to lighten under the eyes and any dark areas. That's the sense it perfectly matches the foundation in this line.

I'm strictly a drugstore makeup girl myself, but I must say Rare Beauty is a very appealing brand - aesthetic-wise if not budget-wise 😂
The other style of cream blush Rare Beauty (it's in a concealer type of packaging) has is WAY more pigmented and I LOVE it. Love your vids Tati. Glad you're back.
Guys! She did it!! She read all those Rare Beauty requests and came through! Cause she is our Review QUEEN!!! 😭😭😭😭 I missed you so much Tati.
Tati’s hair looks so healthy in this video it’s beautiful! It’s got to be Halo hair skin and nails for sure!
Agreed ! Huge difference in the hair and nails and energy for me anyways 👍🏼
I am mindblown by their foundation. My skin usually hates most of them, i get oily, you can see dry patches, they cake up etc. But this one? It looks fresh and skin like all freaking day. Selena and her team did a hella good job! And your review is right on time imo. The brand just went global so it will help some people :)
hi tati, if you want a more intense blush the liquid one is really good.
I adore how you review things so thoroughly. You give brands and products REAL reviews! You often mention other products of a brand that works well while giving constructive criticism. QUEEN!
Does anyone else really want rare beauty to launch a bronzer in the future, like a cream or powder bronzer, ughh✨
They did :D
Good video! Although a little criticism, I feel like when you try more “natural, your skin but better” brands, you should try it from the standpoint of someone who wants that instead of trying to get full coverage from it.
How do you wear something on your face from the point of somebody else?

It’s definitely personal preference and a lot of these beauty gurus prefer heavy coverage.
