Poor Champ, I hope his recovery is easy and quick, and that he stops limping. I wish dogs had better ways to tell us when they're in pain and what hurts.
I originally followed/subscribed because I love dogs and I love learning about service dogs. However, I stayed because Cassidy is so informative and helpful. As an autistic person running an accessibility club, there are a lot of things I don’t understand firsthand. Cassidy’s content has brought things to our attention that aren’t at the forefront of our minds. There aren’t a lot of people with mobility related disabilities at my school because they can’t get around, and it shouldn’t be the burden of those that are here to be a part of the club if they don’t want to. Additionally, Cassidy is so funny and interesting. She takes topics that many non disabled people would ignore because they’re uncomfortable or it seems “preachy” and makes it digestible to the average person. Whenever we show/share her videos, people actually watch them and absorb the information. Thank you Cassidy for going out of your way to make good, informative videos. And good luck Champ!
I have had 3 cats total so far with major teeth extractions. Animals are resiliant. All of them felt so much better after 1-2 days after surgery. 2 of them had zero teeth left. Champ is having a way less extensive surgery. It will all be fine, but it is good you have some strong help on your hands. Champ is quite heavy compared to your weight and if he needs some help walking to the car you don't have to worry if you are physically able to. I wish all the best to all of you for tomorrow. If you like, feel a big hug! 🫂
Wishing the best for Champ. Glad you caught this early. Good plan on going to Kaz parents. Try not to worry, Champ is young even at 7 yrs. The cost is what will be difficult. You all will do well. I'll be thinking of him. I go Monday for preop for a coming kidney surgery.
I am sure everything will go well for Mr Champ tomorrow! I know as a fellow service dog owner its not going to be easy not to worry about him but they are our besties and you just can't help it but it sounds like you have a great support system! Give him extra snuggles and smooches! Take care! 🙏🏻❤️😊🐶
My dog broke the same tooth last year. I saw him break it though. He broke it chewing on a bone. He quit chewing and started drooling blood. I wish you had been lucky enough to see it happen. He recovered very well. I hope Champ's procedure and recovery goes well also!
Hey, Champ...I get it...cracked 2 teeth chewing ice (over a long period of time) and am going through the crown process. Not fun. Not cheap. Gotta do it, though. Best wishes to you.
Do you or have you considered giving Champ Glucosamine Chondroitin supplements? I have done that for both of my senior kitties & myself; and I find it helps a bit with mobility & pain.

Tooth extractions are a very routine surgery! But any surgery is scary - I hope Champ is recovering well. 🐕🦺🐾
