    Funnily enough I've still got a pair of Scarpa boots that I won in a TGO competition 32 years ago whilst I was recovering from a motorcycle accident where I nearly lost my right foot. Unfortunately, the leg never really recovered enough for long distance walks.
    I think the TGOC was called the TGO Coast to Coast back then, I did submit a course before I realised there was no way that I'd be fit enough with the leg injury despite all the gym work.
    Enjoy the trip, looking forward to the videos cus, it'll be awesome!

      Nice one Davie, neb
      ver had these boots before and yeah feel good quality and comfy for sure. Lucky man not loosing a foot Davie and same old thing injuries set you back and things are never really the same. Shorter walk are ideal. I am just working on losing some weight from my rucksack. A couple of Kg less would be helpful. I hope to film as much as i can and continue where i can charge things properly. Really excited for this as its been such a big planning task.

    have been researching into solar panels and have to say i wouldn't touch them because of the harmful radiation

      @Campingonthewildsidescotland  5 месяцев назад

      Never really known anything about that from them. I dont use it much only on camping trips. Worth looking into.

    Have you used the solar charger yet ? Ive got the big blue 28 watt model and it doesn't charge my phone as it keeps disconnecting if it gets cloudy, best thing to do is to let it charge a small power bank (10,000), then it won't disconnect . Good luck 👍

    • @Campingonthewildsidescotland
      @Campingonthewildsidescotland  5 месяцев назад

      Hello, Yeah i have the same 28w and work fine for me, maybe get back in touch with them and see what they can do to solve that, sounds a bit technical. I used the Big Blue for 20 days cycling the NC 500 although Scotland doesn't have the sunniest weather it was constantly charging the power bank while i was on the go. Its not 100% brilliant but saved me in many situations, so i can only hang it from my rucksack and see what happens. Fingers crossed and thanks for the helpful info.

      Hello Tiana thank you, it will be a tough one but enjoyable. I have opened a merch shop but need to look at some items and work with Charlie to get advice.

    18kg is quite heavy but depends on the gradients. I took a 15kg once and did some hills and bogs and was shattered after 10 miles.

      Slowly taking things out so making that decision wisely. Getting there, one last weigh in tomorrow then thats it.
      I am sure there will be some tough days ahead so thanks for the constructive comment.

    Oh great video buddy the names Spencer by the way. I'm the guy from California. You have been in the wild many times like I have. I was wondering have you ever seen a U.F.O.? I know some people think it's crazy to talk about this issue but that's not true anymore. In the United States a lot is going on about this. I mean many T.V. shows, a lot of footage is being released, and many credible people have been testifying in front of Congress about what they know and have seen. Many of them are ex-military and current military. You should look up the name David Grusch he is one of them. I saw one when I was younger and it changed my mind about many things. I heard the U.K. has had many sightings over the years. I think the public has a right to know about this.
