hello from the US. I love your channel Mr. Sheffield! I am slowly getting items I need - I have some really happy Coleus that I started as well as the original. Never knew they are good for house plants too. I know now! :-) Thanks much!
I use weight of the pot often as a measure of dryness, especially with plants like my orchid and bromeliad that are in a really chunky mix. Other than that I’m using my trusty moisture meter.
I had left a comment on your last video on what type of soil to get in the US. For those who live here in the states I highly recommend FoxFarm soil company as they are the most popular company known for their professional grade soil! Hope this helps! Also looks like we can get house plant focus here as well!
I have used Fox 14:52 Farm products for over 10 years and highly recommend them. I have used their products in my outside garden, my houseplants and my indoor hydroponics.
My moisture meter went out on me after only 3 months and from the most reviews on Amazon this is pretty common. I’m still going to repurchase however because it’s just too easy!
13:20 Goodness me, Rich, your patience getting the velcro through the wire is so annoying to watch 🤣 I bought orchid clips for that purpose. They won't work for thicker stems but until my climbing plants get to that level, they should be very well attached to the pole anyway 😁
My monstera has multiple sources of light. It’s behind a plant stand with a standing “octopus” light and an east facing glass door. I just added a standing barrina light. One leaf is really repented up the standing light over the plant stand, one leaf facing the standing light and the rest face the glass doors. I’m hoping the leaves facing the door will face the barinna light. I’m going anyway.
Quite honestly, with that amount of tropical plants that do like to grow a lot, don't you feel like living in a jungle? Asking as someone who lived most of my life in a tropical country and was always surrounded by the same plants you have at your British home.
What do you think about treating your plants for bugs every time you water them? I have a mealy bug infestation and that's what I've been doing and even between waterings.
😂Dear God another orange pot! You're waving them in my face 👀 the only one I found online has been sold out for over a year 😢 How many do you have? Or is it the same one you keep waving at me? 😂

Thanks, I have learnt so much from you Mr Sheffield.😊
I learn a lot from your videos...and it doesn't hurt at all!:) But 'cheeky prune' is one of my favorite terms.
That amaryllis is so pretty. I'll add this video to my SMP Playlist. I play it when I'm doing plant chores. I have some cacti I have to repot today. 😊

Good to know, thanks 👍
It’ll be interesting to see if the variegation comes back now that you put the philodendron on the moss pole 🤞🏻
I like the look of old jade plants that are wider than the pot. Like a small tree.
Hi from Queensland Australia 🇦🇺 Thanks for sharing with us all your ideas and techniques ❤
Excellent video alot of information thanks 😊
Another well produced and informative video, keep up the good work, sir.
I understand you well even though I don't speak English, I'm going to look for a curly fern right now, surprising green dense
Excellent advice! 😄
Love it❤

A little but that's no bad thing
Don’t you worry about the over spray ruining your floor?
And what do you do with all the new jade plants.
Im envious of your mandarin spider plant. Mine gives me so much grief, hoping putting it in lower leafs will help with yellowing & brown leafs.
That sounds like a very dramatic plant 2:41
How to you keep a moss pole moist without over watering the plant? The water run down into the plant.

7th here
You don’t want to put the monstera on a pole while you’re transplanting it. I know they like poles to feel secure.
I heard that aphids are born pregnant.
