Just gonna put this tip here even though it will never be read. Crafting a spear with pole and a cobblestone would be more beneficial to you guys since it has reach. Add a stone tower shield and you should be ok for the most part of the early game.

I wonder when, if ever, they'll move away from spawn... The spawn altar is a minuscule part of the map. Dregora is a vast world with biomes of various themes. It has been worked on for decades. Custom buildings, custom biomes, custom mobs.

Watch literally ANY of Cap's other RlCraft series. He stays in the main center the whole time unless the others talk him into going somewhere. Then he just TPs back to base after 5 minutes of wondering. I love watching him and X33n play these packs but they're pretty similar. Dregora is just RlCraft but made inherently harder.
You can't really enjoy the world, if you as the player are constantly being killed over and over again. So yeah don't think the developers thought this through. If it is just a harder version of Rlcraft, don't expect much.
Not sure how into this series I'll be, but glad X33N and Pete are back! I'll definitely give it a chance, even though I personally don't like RLCraft. Lol
