Lipa has so much more to offer, and in my opinion we have the best coffee in the Philippines that you should've tried which is our kapeng barako. I hope you also visit the neighboring province of Laguna, and Quezon to fully experience the beauty and culture of Southern Tagalog region
As a Batangueño, I nearly had a heart attack watching you put lomi noodles in bulalo soup and then pour the mixture into a lomi bowl! My reaction of "Noooooo!" is probably similar to an Italian seeing pineapple on their pizza - a culinary sacrilege! I understand it's a first-timer's attempt, but the anxiety was real! 😂😂😂

Don't ask people on the bus, they're not from Batangas anyway 😂 Once you get there, the cheap and delicious Lomi is known by the locals. You put noodles on the plate and just add the mixed chili, calamansi and soy sauce. Try Oliver goto in Batangas. I also love Bulalo in Pabre Garcia.😊 And for Chami, get sweet and spicy over gisado.
Batangas City is the capital of Batangas Province, but Lipa City is the culinary and commercial capital because it is actually more developed and urbanzied than BC😅

You went to Batangas City. There are no beaches there because it's an industrial city. The entire Batangas bay area is lined with port terminals, industrial zones, power plants, and oil refineries. The best beaches in Batangas can be found in San Juan, Nasugbu, and Calatagan, but they're very far away. Sadly, many coastal towns in Batangas are slowly losing their beaches due to industrial developments.

Ijo really is the best here in Batangas. Even coffee shop croissants don't have anything on Ijo's pastries! Few notes - haha I am from Batangas - born, raised and currently living here. 1. If you want to go to the Beach, it's really far from Batangas City or Lipa City. Best bets are Mabini - you'll have to alight at Batangas Terminal and ride jeepneys there and San Juan - alight at SM Lipa - ride jeepney to San Juan. 2. Lomi - there are too many lomi shops haha but standard is it's really a bit bland so you have to put your kalamansi, chili and toyo sauce when you eat. The taste will depend on that mixture - i prefer mine with lots of kalamansi, chopped onion, garlic bits and I pay for extra Liver because I love liver too. :D 3. Chami and Guisado - they really are somewhat the same, one you add the soup into. The best chami for me is Benok's in Lipa. :D Chicken Chami Tamis-Anghang - ask for that next time. 4. Coffee - i tend to veer away from commercial coffee shops - best I've tried in Lipa is Communal by Variables - it's a bit far from SM Lipa Terminal but you can easily reach it via jeepney and it can be seen on Google Maps. 5. Goto - it’s really like a hangover beef soup. Again, you can add a mixture of your chilli, kalamansi and fish sauce - not toyo for this one. Hmmm, i think this can be like your ox- bone soup - seolleongtang - but not milky white since we add atsuete on the broth for goto. 빨리 바탕가스로 돌아오길 바래요. 메시지 보내주시면 다시 돌아오시면 제가 추천해드릴 수 있는 장소가 있어요. :)
