Hope to see a ballgown from this era too.💖

At some point 😊 I don't currently have any events lined up for this era so it's not anything I "need" 😅🤣 if you can ever say you need a ball gown

Amazing sewing. What a gorgeous gown and so fascinating to hear your commentary. Thank you!!

Oh I love that dress! Simple and beautiful. And I always love learning about decades of which I don't know that much compared to others :) Thanks for educating me and showing the process! Also, the "taking up space" theory makes a lot of sense.

Yep and it seems to really coenside with political/cultural changes. And thank you 😊

This turned out gorgeous!!! I find that with thicker/multicolored fabric, it's so much harder to see if you've hand-sewn through in a similar color, so i take the lazy and historically accurate way out 😋 saves tons of time

I think your theory about the connection between women's rights sentiment in contemporary society and fashion that takes up space is quite compelling.

Thank you for the history lesson on Victorian women's fashion. I'd love to make this dress. Where can I find the pattern?

There isn't one unfortunately. The bodice is self drafted, the sleeves are based on the ones in patterns of fashion 1 and the skirt is just rectangles

Yummy! Very interesting thoughts about skirts❤❤❤ women wanted men to just move over!!! Interesting how men make fun of women wearing spandex yoga pants all the time now! 😂

@@valor101arise it almost seems like no matter what we wear we'll get ridiculed for it 😜

Another very good video👍. I love your content.❤️
I hope I'm not going to be rude, it's not what I intend to.
But the sound of your videos is always hard for me to listen to. You begin on painful nasal high notes 🙉 and then at the end you adopt a very very low voice.
Did you ever consider consulting a phoniatrician to learn how to position your voice without tiring it ?
