Very enjoyable and informative! I collect china heads and learned so much. I’m off to check out the Facebook page now. Thank you for taking the time to make these videos and share your knowledge.
Michael, I love your videos! So happy you cleared up the many different names for types of chinas. As you know, this is my favorite doll. So much to cover, including Frozen Charlie’s, rare hairstyles, large examples of chinas. I delighted to see you and send you and David many blessings!
Thank you for yet another fascinating and informative video. I have a special love for the smaller china dolls. Though ours, now being played with by the fifth generation in the case of the oldest one, are not of the finest variety, they are the dolls I would keep if I had to drastically reduce my collection. My dream is to add one like your Victoria to hand on with them in years to come.
You are just wonderful. I hope to go to your museum/store one day or meet you at a UFDC convention one year. Always hopeful and thank you so much for your contribution it is greatly appreciated. Oh and listening to your boy/girl story I wonder if that is what they did with Queen Elizabeth I, or at least the stories that she was really a man. They did not substitute her because she died as an infant but changed her gender to the public to protect the throne with all that intrigue.
I have 3 French dolls and I need to find out how much they are worth. Very old but can't find the numbers on any of them. They belonged to my mother. I believe that that they are worth a lot but are in good to fare condition.
Michael’s knowledge of the history of doll making is astonishing!
I love listening to & learning from all his wonderful videos. Thank you Michael ❤
Our pleasure!
Really enjoyed watching this again. The connection between the Papier- mache and China doll moulds is striking.
Yes !

If you buy a doll that is dressed as a female but someone says it's a boy. Should you change it to a boy or keep it as a girl ?
I would have to see the doll first before I would say !
@@MichaelCanadas i would send you a pic
