    Quite agree with your stock look comments, it’s what attracted me to the bike and I’ve no wish to alter that iconic shape 👍

    I totally agree with you on the NO stretch, NO lower comments.. I also like your idea of keeping it stock.. I am 6'3" and would probably look to buying a Ruckus and then somehow raising the seat up an inch or two. Looking at the seat area, seems like there should be a way to do that.. Also wish that Honda would have added some plastic around/and under the seat area so you have a bit of storage. I think there are aftermarket ways to buy something to do that.. but would have been nice if Honda did that better and nicer.. Thanks for showing us your Ruckus...

    Great video. I think in Maryland we are required to register and insure all Mopeds and Scooters, even if it is puny 50cc. Such a bummer! I am thinking to opt for Honda Rebel 300 instead, If the Rucuks doesn't save me much $$...other than not having to ride with a M class license. Once again, great video. If the insurance is significantly cheaper than Motorcycle, I will definitely get a Ruckus.
    How about storage space requirements? Would the Ruckus fit a 5'x5' storage box? Storage space is not cheap and I do not have a garage or shade :(

    I hate that it doesn't come with a kickstand. I hate that the ignition switch is hidden by the cover so I have to fumble around to get the key in. I hate that the middle stand is only accessed from the left which is the same position the wheel locks - I find it awkward. I'd love to have a longer, two person seat and a higher speed as well.

    I love the look of the Ruckus. But it has 2 major flaws that keep me from owning one. Number 1, it seriously needs a 125cc engine. I don't mean turn it into a Big Ruckus, which is a completely different thing. Keep the 50cc Ruckus design, put a 125cc engine in it. Then it would actually be possible to ride it on city streets without getting killed. I have a Lance Cali Classic 125, and it does just fine in town. Number 2 is increase the load capacity. I weigh 240, which already puts me over the rated load capacity. It could probably handle that, but I would not be able to carry anything. Fix those 2 things and I would buy one. BTW, a Lance Cali Classic 125 costs $2200 brand new, and it is not junk. I have 37,000 miles on mine. Still runs like new. And I ride it full throttle most of the time.

    • @hurhurhurhurhruhrurh
      @hurhurhurhurhruhrurh 2 года назад +1

      50 cc is the max for being a scooter and not a motorcycle in most places. And 240 pounds is a lot to expect from a scooter. This is an Asian scooter, to put an American sizer person on it isn’t really fair to it.

    • @geraldscott4302
      @geraldscott4302 2 года назад

      @@hurhurhurhurhruhrurh I consider the Vespa 300 a scooter. I don't consider bikes like the Suzuki Burgmans, Honda Silverwing, Yamaha Majesty, and a few others to be scooters. They are commonly called maxi scooters, but they don't fit my definition of a scooter. Not only are they too big, but they don't even look like scooters. The Suzuki Burgman 650 looks like a Goldwing with small wheels, and is almost as heavy. My first scooter was a 2006 Honda Metropolitan 50cc, and it had a load capacity of 287 pounds. The Ruckus is 220 pounds. They have the same engine, and same basic frame. I don't know what the difference is.
      If you are talking about the kind of license required, in my state (AZ) anything but a pedal moped and a 48cc or less motorized bicycle requires a full motorcycle license, registration, plate, and insurance. A 49cc pedal moped requires a drivers license, and if you remove the pedals, then it requires a motorcycle license. A 48cc or less motorized bicycle does not require a license, registration/plate or insurance> they are treated as a regular bicycle. They do have a 20 mph top speed, and if you lost your license because of a DUI, you are not allowed to ride one.

  • @Trevpbmc
    @Trevpbmc 2 года назад +1

    For people who want a little more than a Ruckus offers ( Seat 2 and Goes 50+ mph) the 110cc 2022 Honda Navi might be the answer. They are actually for the most part a few hundred $ cheaper and has quite a bit more power and speed for your $. Its a scooter that rides more like a motorcycle but has a CVT just like the Ruckus.

    • @HONEmusicINT
      @HONEmusicINT Год назад

      Big difference between everything else vs a Ruckus is that the engine size permits operation without a motorcycle license in many states and provinces. For example, a Navi (and anything larger than 50cc) needs a motorcycle license to operate here in BC, Canada.

      Yes.
      Turn the handlebar to the left then turn the ignition key counterclockwise one click. You might have to jiggle the handlebar and ignition lock a bit for this to work. Then take the key out of the ignition. Your handlebar should be locked and won't turn at all.

    I understand the charm of these and not modding em. But polini variator and ncy CDI are pretty simple, non intrusive mods thatll help with the speed. Big boring these and putting on pipes and lowering em with the stock motor are pointless, but i wouldnt consider those two mods to be in that level. Idk if your bike already has them, just saying.
