Ultimate fight with huge tuna from shore.
This was quite on the edge of the fishing equipment and strength possible to put in the fishing gear..
Saltiga has the hardest drag force of 30kg, but seems its still not enough to stop fish of this size..even on the escape 300-400m..
I am still not sure know is it possible or not, at least we tried 🙂

That seemed like it had the potential of being a new land-based record. Great effort. Often times I think it's better when you can't land them all. It's part of what makes the sport remarkable. To have a fish rip that much line with heavy gear and a heavy drag is an honor, even if it parts ways from you.
If he took PE8 from you, he must have really been a Cyclops

Hi Marc, 6500h saltiga.It's size like stella 18k, but i used much bigger custom spool 😎 tnx man, hopefully i will upload some other interesting fishing videos soon 😊

I know a spot where hooking a tuna from shoer is possible but its still very unlikely

There was no slightest chance to land that fish. Even when she stopped, it couldn't be pulled. I think 100kg is about max to land from shore, but that depends on fish too. 200+ kg BF, no way.

Jigs are the best for fishing for tuna in the Adriatic Sea from the shore. The rule is to put a jig that is as similar as possible to a small fish that is in that area in terms of size and color, which is usually blue or greenish blue

I was very worried when you were putting your whole weight agaisnt the rod leaning back with a 1meter drop to sharp rocks behind you. If the line snapped any earlier you couldve been seriously hurt
Yea man..i call it conditional pulling..in every moment trying to be ready for line breaking, especially when i make force on the rod.

Need to bump up to PE 10.. or size up reel and go 12... always change your hooks and split rings out too. You'll have more success landing them

You should use a different reel! Something like Shimano Sealine or Penn Squall - a multiplier!
Maybe on a live bait..but we are fishing on lures :)

You don’t have tiger or white shark in your area? It seems like a crazy run .. in case it’s a tuna … its probably world record for shore land but I doubt it was a tuna .. when your line snapped did it snap from the braid? Or the shock leader ? Anyways awesome video full of adrenaline

Don‘t do this! Take a bottle of freshwater with you. When you have a bite of your life put freshwater on your reel! It reduces friction between line and the rings of your rod ! Essential! It also cooles down the Temperature of your reel, heated by your drag !!

from the first second I was sure the it was too big , you will never madeít., is impossible. Maybe with the best eq. you had a chance like 50/50.
He's using top of the range gear but tuna's over 100kg from shore is a near impossible task. Good fight and well done

How do you know it was tuna? Can tuna fight 60 lbs drag for so long? I dont think so. It was a much bigger preditor. Perhaps a great white.
Tuna is for sure..there is no white sharks here..big tunas have much more strength than 60lb drag break

Bez uvrede ali nitko ne moze drzat 30 kg draga sa stijena ovoliko dugo... Ne umanjuje velicinu ribe ni trud ni nista samo kazem da drag nije 30 kg. Cak ga i sam podesavas par puta u videu, dakle on oscilira.
To sto neko nije do sada drzao ne znaci da ne moze da se drzi. Od pocetka ka kraju se zateze dril, naravno da na pocetku nije bio zategnut do kraja. U 4-tom minutu je pokusano da se dotegne jos, ali nije moglo dalje.
