it sucks how like fucking 10 people know this game exists, i believe it was made by one of the red faction designers and it's honestly SUPER awesome.

You're exactly correct, one of the devs of Red Faction Guerrilla, the best one, was involved with this game. Which feels to me like it's a tech demo for a future Red Faction knockoff game, which would be AWESOME. Makes sense since Volition got shut down after the latest (god awful) Saints Row game so they're not doing anything with the Red Faction name anytime soon. I'm definitely keep tracking of this developer to see if this destruction engine makes it into other games.

Hell yeah! I just saw this game on Steam a few days ago and threw it on the wishlist. Was hoping one of my physics/blood channels would post something about it! Really love that it doesn't overdo the smoke/dust effect too, so you can actually see the destruction unlike some games. This itches the brain just right, thanks for the upload, as always!
Found out from a comment below (and confirmed with a RockPaperShotgun article) that this game is from one of the developers behind Red Faction Guerrilla, one of the most highly regarded destruction games ever. I'm really hoping that this is a test bed for the destruction engine for a future title by them. The destruction is amazingly done, now it just needs a better context, like a Red Faction Guerrilla knockoff.

My pet peeve about destruction is it’s still just made up of a bunch of little squares and prefab pieces, like Lego. I’d love to see materials bend and break and crumble

Procedural destruction like that is still kinda in the slightly distant future for us, that's still really hard to make and our hardware couldn't really run it yet
