Hey so I noticed this was your last video and it was uploaded 2 years ago! I just wanna say, you gave me some juice to keep going this week. I am able to make a difference in patient's life by being a safe nurse
This was an awesome video. What tips do you have for the “R” portion of the SBAR when communicating with the physician about a patient situation? As a new grad I feel a little nervous about making recommendations to Dr.. what if I don’t know the best thing to do at the time?
Hi Antoinette, such a great question! Feeling uncertain is completely normal, especially as a new grad. Trust your gut and critical thinking skills-often, you're on the right track 😊. Remember, working with doctors is collaborative; together, you'll develop the best plan for your patient. As a new nurse, don't hesitate to use reliable medical sources like Medscape and UpToDate to guide your recommendations. Also, reach out to more experienced peers or your charge nurse-they may be great resources! Hope this answers your question 😊 is there anything else I can help with?
