This video shows you how to install new intake manifold gaskets from TRQ on your 1998-2011 Ford Ranger (4.0L V6). Gaskets help seal joints between components in places where you don’t want air, or fluids leaking out of that seal. Rubber or silicone gaskets may dry out or harden over time, reducing their effectiveness.
This process should be similar on the following vehicles:
1998 Ford Ranger
1999 Ford Ranger
2000 Ford Ranger
2001 Ford Ranger
2002 Ford Ranger
2003 Ford Ranger

2005 Ford Ranger
2006 Ford Ranger
2007 Ford Ranger
2008 Ford Ranger
2009 Ford Ranger
2010 Ford Ranger
2011 Ford Ranger

This is one of the best videos I’ve seen. I was able to follow step by step through the whole process. Thank you
Can’t exactly tell if this is the ohv or sohc?
Great video, but I think two issues should have been addressed. Both of these issues are easily address with the intake manifold removed. 1. Front timing chain tensioner replaced. 2. Thermastat and oring replaced.
+@outfittersexpress Thanks for the tip! We'll pass this info along to our production team. 1aau.to/m/Shop-TRQ
Watching this so remember all the vacuums lines and connectors cause I took a 4.0 explorer and turned it into a ranger 4.0
Yes thank you for the video. Your step by step is easy to follow.
Thank you for sharing this video from start to finish 🙏💙
The manual shows the plug wire sequence as 123-465 not 456
You made a major mistake, should have changed the lower intake gaskets too while in there. They leak water into to lifter valley eventually. 4.0 has upper and lower gaskets.
Where does the rest of gaskets go to?
At 14:30, What is the part those hoses are connected to? I removed it for another reason and it has a gasket I need to replace before putting it back in.
Can you do a video for the 2.3l same year
02-05 explorer.. most of this is not required 😊
123 465
🖐️👀👌👍
