Basically what I'm starting to do. If I ever move out of this apartment, I really don't want too much stuff to take a lot with me. And I'm 40 now, so I've got a different perspective. I've got a lot of stuff, and it's just taking up space, and I'm in a small studio. I've got a lot of greeting cards that I saved too, and it's like you are right, you can't keep them forever. I've started reading e-books. Also, I think I have too much clothing. I have 4-5 loads of laundry for tomorrow. My problem is my uncle keeps giving me souvenirs from his travels, and I don't think I can get rid of them.
That's hard hey? When someone gives you things, you feel obliged to keep them. I tell my family and friends if you want to gift something to me, make sure I can use it, or it's temporary, or an experience.
I was scanning my bday cards last night. I kept the ones from my husband and one from my nan and recycled the rest. But can be hard to part with the extra special one. I too have the epic task of backing up photos good luck. Would love to see your progress in another video!
gavloft it's NOT. I'm much happier since I adopted this life style. I'm still on the journey and not a minimalist now. It's clear your mind. With less stuff, u could know what is important in your life and what do you want to focus on.
I love your non sugar coated, non bullshit approach to this, really refreshing
