I do this myself too. I always setup the floor jack just barely touch the car. If the stand jack fail, this is the backup, which would save your life. My suggestion would be WARE LATEX GLOVE when you tough any motor vehicle fluid!
I have the same car same color but 4dr , same thing with 2nd & 3rd gear, bout to change mine to syncromesh this weekend, gonna get a hondata to fix the rev hang , fig it will shift better , im used the cable driven throttle body not the electric tb on newer cars , i hate the lag but i do like the car.
The clutch delay valve is a 1 way valve. It only delays the reengage of the clutch. So pushing in the clutch pedal to disengage the clutch is NOT delayed.
No. It's a fluid delay valve. It takes certain amount of pressure to open which SLOWS THE FLUID DOWN AKA SLOWS THE FUNCTION OF EVERYTHING ATTACHED TO IT DOWN.
I already said that. But its a triangle machined orifice with a spring. It cannot not affect return flow when it is a literal diameter flow restriction.
@@jessedrifts The service manual literally says "...delaying slave cylinder release when the clutch pedal is suddenly released." This means it delays only the reengagement of the clutch (when you release the clutch pedal). And the service manual also refers to it as a 1 way valve, meaning it delays fluid flow in 1 direction and the other direction is unaffected.
The jack isn't meant to hold a car lifted. Make sure to rest the car on jack stands it isn't worth dying to change your trans fluid!

I would check amsoil website. If it's an automatic then no you can't
@@jessedrifts it's a 5 speed manual
Yes, it should be fine for manual Civic 1.8L. It's manual tranny fluid.
Did you notice any difference using non-factory fluid?
Yes. The trans shifts way smoother and less notchy
Amsoil is the best aleast for my cars
Any problems after changing/switching fluids?
Nope! Shifts like butter! Great fluid
