Very honest, upfront kind of review. I've shot Matthews for years, multiple Elites, 2 Martins, several Bowtechs, and many others trying out everyone's technology because I'm not married to any one company nor do I get paid to shoot. The 4-year itch caught up with me and I went in to hear the latest buzz at the pro shop. It was all about this bow. They set up a Ventum Pro 33 and an Elite Omnia 33 for me and I too was blown away by what Hoyt has done this year. Everything from the grippy grip, silky draw cycle, and nearly dead-in-hand recoil impressed me enough to bump my release on a new bow. Ultimately, we all must do what feels right for us. No putting down other companies to justify. It was a good choice for me too.
I just bought this bow. Love it except one thing. Do you feel like it is incredibly top heavy with a huge bias falling forward when you hold it without drawing? I feel like mine has a major tendency to fall forward, it doesn't feel like it would be balanced without a back bar.
This is the first year since I got my Nitrum back in 2016 that Hoyt is back on the radar. I honestly haven't shot a Hoyt that was a upgrade to the Nitrum until now.
@@BowDisciples I'm going to get something this year we will see. Leaning toward Elite or Bowtech, but the nice thing is I live close to Lancaster Archery so I can go shoot them all first. I may come home with something totally different.
Awesome video super honest. I’ve shot all bows this year and I definitely agree hoyts line up this year is way better in my opinion. Super smooth nice back wall and no hand shock and balance. Love the grip. Mathew draw cycle is not smooth and super jumpy.
Awesome video. Just finally got my SR350 today and got it set up. Love that bow! Now I just need to find a ventum to shoot because I hear nothing but good things about them too. Like he said tho, the dwell is almost scary on the 350.
Hoyt went to a binary cam last year … in years prior possibly decades they were 1.5 cams “cam and a half” I never understood how people could shoot them. I never shot an older Hoyt that had a good draw cycle … never. Folks acted surprised when the binary cams shot so well on the new Hoyt’s …. And I’m like what did you expect ? I wanted to shoot last years ventum 33 pretty bad , but couldn’t source one locally to try out. Shot the solution ss with no intentions on buying a bow that day and …. I left with it .
That bow sounds great going off. Very smooth draw. Great grip. The ONLY downside with this bow is the rotating mods. You have to fall in the right length else you'll take a speed loss (e.g. 29.5 on the 33 is the worst position).
I shot both Hoyt and Mathews before choosing Mathews and the only reason I went with Mathews is the riser design of Hoyt, I don't like that grip area. If they ever change that I will switch...

Agreed, all about personal preference

I didn't notice that on this bow, honestly.

Big improvements this year it seems

Thanks for the nice comment!

Dwell for days!
Until you switch that mod over
Trueee
Spot on! Exactly why I sold my V3.. stiff draw. And torky.. Hoyt is way better draw. And holds way better. Not even close.
Thanks for the feedback!
I just purchased my first Hoyt. For the same reason you identified. Always shot Mathew’s until now. The draw and hold are amazing. Pro 30
Does it feel easy to torque with that reflects riser design?
Good question 🤔
I walked in to my bow shop to buy vx 33 walked out with the hoyt pro 33
Nice! What was the main thing that made you go hort?
Smooth draw and balance
Just like chuck said 👍
Same. Lol

Solution ss is a great choice!

Interesting 🤔
Dug the motocross shootout reference... Put a back bar on that SR350... Like civilized folk do.
Great content !!! Thank you.
Thanks man haha love the shootouts
New hoyt bows are faster on 29 than 29.5 lol
Interesting. Luckily he shoots 29

Interesting, thanks for the feedback
Carry it like u can , check out bow disciples...lol
Legendary bow carrier 😂
You better hope Bruce and Ernest don’t watch this they might sick Dave on you.
Huh?
Promoting a bow they don’t sell they hate on Hoyt it’s the tech in those cams is what bow tech used in the 90’s.
I'm not very good shooter but with better bow will shoot better LOL
Nice
