We are tent campers and love Gamble Rogers. One of the amazing things is seeing the masts of large sailboats silently sailing just above the low tree line on the intercostal. Great video.
We have always wanted to stay at Gamble Rogers. I didn’t know the origin story. That’s sad. We usually look for designated dog beaches. What a beautiful beach. Thanks for showing where to bring the dogs. Not much privacy Riverside but great for solar. Looks like beach side has some privacy greenery between sites. I bet those spots are hard to get. Thank You Alice! We fell in love with Flagler beach, it is definitely underrated and the dog beach was a big plus! Spots are a bit hard to get but I noticed that they have cancellations a lot, so it might be worth checking on regularly! Thank You for always commenting, we appreciate you!
Thank you for the side trips onto HIghbridge Road and the Plantation. This area has wonderful scenery of salt marshes. Next time don't forget to head down the tiny Walter Boardman Lane with a tunnel of oak trees, then head south on Old Dixie Hwy to see more vistas of salt marshes on either side of the road, great views all the way down to Ormond Beach.

@@CampTravelExplore also on the inter coastal side there is a really nice open area to fish there. Invest in a sand flea rake and on the ocean side you will catch all the bait you will need.

There is an awesome dog beach on Hutchinson Island across from FPL’s Saint Lucie Power Plant.

Spent many July 4 weekends there growing up . my family would stay there for almost 2 weeks nothing like the firecracker 400 in Flagler Beach

For a beach front spot, I would start looking 11 months out if possible!

This "campground" looks like it's all RVs ...
They do have some designated tent sites only as well!
