Our Florence travel guide! What a city Florence is. Not just the heart of the Italian renaissance but birthplace of opera and the Italian language too! Florence is a small, cosy city compared to other places in Italy but it is jam-packed with history, food, and art. We had the pleasure of Florentine food expert Michela Ricciarelli to help us unlock some of the most delicious dishes Florence had to offer.

I was living here just before the pandemic really started rolling its wheels in 2020. I absolutely loved it there, and was learning the language for what was supposed to be three months before having to leave short notice. I loved living here for that short amount of time, and watching this made me immediately homesick in a weird sort of way. So many people there are so kind, and for an italian city it is extremely difficult to get lost. If anybody is reading this, please go to Florence, it is too charming of a city to miss!
I envy u truly
I have been to Florence since 1976 and twice more but all in one day trip
You can guess my age ha ha!
I will love to stay there for a month or two.
Finding a nice and safe place is my work !
Florence is the most beautiful city I’ve ever been to
That rare beast of a Firenze travel guide. One that doesn't show Michelangelo's David. Or indeed a view from the top of the Duomo! And I salute you not doing the obvious!
May I recommend the Fiorentina steak to all visitors too!
I’ll be in Florence in a few weeks. My first trip out of the United States. Very excited. Glad y’all enjoyed the city.
I'm Italian and I would never get bored of Florence! I'm glad you liked it!
There are also many other stunning city nearby, on my channel you can find some tips.
Let's explore Italy!
Every day with a new Attache video starts out perfectly.
Thanks, Harry!
Great video as always. Was in Florence this past September just exploring, wining and dining. Absolutely fantastic place. Can't wait to go back.
I only spent a day in that City on a tight Italian trip. I made the most of it, but it was glorious indeed!
Glorious is the right word!
Great video, you captured the majesty of Florence well. Your description at the end of Florence being both big and small is spot on. My daughter spent her spring semester in Florence this year, and since I am able to work remotely, I rented an Air BnB apartment right around the corner from the famous sandwich shop for a month. It was really fantastic to be able to get to know a city this beautiful. I'd also recommend checking out the neighborhoods on the other side of the Arno river. It's a little less touristy but has some great restaurants and bars, plus stunning views. Like you said, I'm already thinking about when I can get back there.
Man that intro fired me up. Incredible video
Great video as usual. I got back from Lisbon yesterday and used your Lisbon guide for some places. Just a shame it rained like crazy most of the time so exploration was limited to bars and cocktail lounges when not eating or exploring while absolutely soaked.
Will try revisit Florence again now my tastes are more refined as I'm older. The sandwich shop is a must visit for me, heard and viewed so many videos about it.
Look forward to your next video!
My favorite city, the food is amazing
Gorgeous video - thanks! Makes me want to plan a return trip - it’s been too long - definitely as it’s been 25ish years since I’ve visited Florence.
Long time Layovers listener, recent Attaché convert. This video couldn't have come at a better time for me - I'm visiting Italy for the first time in April, flying into VCE and out of FCO, and have spent most of the weekend working out the finer details of the trip. Florence was a given, but having watched your video I'm now considering another day or two. Also giving more thought to a guided tour in Florence and probably Rome. Thanks for your efforts putting these videos together, you've built one of the most underrated travel channels on RUclips. Keep up the great work.
Ha, sorry to throw a spanner in the works. But I think Florence will reward you for your time.
If you get the chance plan a few days in Florence, there are so many things to see! The surroundings are also worth a visit.
I'm glad you chose Italy for your trip!
Stay as long as possible.. It will be the most favorite city of your journey
Your timing is impeccable. Heading there in a few months. Grazie!
Absolutely love the cinematography and narration 👍🏻🇬🇧
“Wine hole” 😂🤣🍷🍇🍝🇮🇹 love it
Firenze!! I love it!
Had to comment and subscribe. Video is extremely well done. Gave me goose bumps in the beginning and made me want to go back to Florence ASAP.
Great video! Planning to visit next Spring
Amazing work, congrats! The videography, the dialog, the shots...kudos! Thank you for bringing back so many fond memories. PS: When (not if) you visit Florence again, drop by Panini Toscani near the Duomo and choose the walnut bread.
Another dope travel documentary by my favorite travel vlogger! 🤩
Definitely the city I want to visit the most.
Loved watching this. I was here several years ago (I see a number of familiar sights) and my only regret was spending just 1 evening there!
I don't know if you are taking recommendations for cities, but I would love to see Edinburgh and Istanbul.
Nice timing with this one. I just arrived in Florence today.
One my favourite cities ❤
Overall, good review! I think your contrasting views of it at the end made a lot of sense and really encapsulated the city. How much great art and architecture is I. The city was a little undersold, but I suppose that’s not for everyone. Appreciate your take!
I loved your take on the description of Florence. It's just what I was looking for!
If i were to make a top 10 cities on earth. Florence would be way up there. What an experience.
Great episode. As well as the others. I enjoy the way you choose to narrate cities with no mention of their turistic spots. Just brilliant. Speaking of Italy I think you might consider Milan: the country's transport star with an amazing food scenery. Also Venice would be great to see here.
Thanks. Yeah there's plenty of other content that covers tourist spots. And what's interesting to one person might not be interesting to another. So we try to give people the tools to get around a city on their own terms. It's funny you should mention Milan, my wife raves about the place. So maybe we'll go one day soon.
Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for another sublime Attaché delight. The most beautiful city in Europe IMO well shot in subdued, grayish overtones. There are just too many damn tourists so I understand visiting in winter.
that transition and music drop at 0:47 👏🎬
One of the profoundest Florence Guides I found here. And I love especially the color rendition (Fuji? Sony?)... Definitely subscribed.
I was there not just a month ago! Great city
Excellent cinematography on this one 👌
Thanks. Greg's wizardry at work again.
Fantastic video 👍👍👍👍👍
Awesome
There is only one place in the world where everyday life is so completely reflected in the sublime, in a wonderful mix of nature and culture........it is Tuscany.
Marie-Henri Beyle, Stendhal
Attaché~ Thanks~ this is top .))
Nicely shot glimpse of Firenze! There's a ton to see there. Folks can check out the prowalk tours channel for walking tours that show a lot of the city. Looking forward to going there in the Spring! Ciao.
have you done New Orleans, once you avoid Bourbon streen it is a great place to explore
Not yet, never been.
“There are options for your lazy ass” 😭😂
I would be Jabba the Hutt level fat if I was surrounded by that much amazing food.
Yes. Zen-like levels of self-discipline are in order.
Nooooooo! We JUST left Florence a few weeks ago (we were there for a week)!
A week! Wow! How did you find it?
5 time visitor to Florence. You forgot to mention the divine gelato, the best in Florence is under Uffizi(which you also forgot to mention)
Oh I didn’t forget
What do you mean by "validate your ticket"????
Hi, do u film it with DJI POCKET 2?
No all the filming is done with professional-grade equipment
Was this a Florence guide? Did nor see much of Florence?
Great if you are into feeding yourself but surely there’s more to Florence.
Ezio
You know what's wrong with most of the world? It's not Italy!!!
I come from Umbria and although I am aware of the historical importance of Florence I don't get the whole Florence thing. Never have. I find Florence terribly overrated.
LULZ!
