@@srt4b man, how did you screw that up
😂
@@thefirst9500 Bro its extremely difficult to play, leave him alone!!!!
@@srt4b wrong, it's 7-5-7
There is no begining to this man`s talent.
I dont know why this showed up in my feed, but you're right😂
I laughed out loud at that. Thanks.
That is good LOL
His talent runs the gamut from A to B
Still better than Tom Morello 😅😂🤣
Simply out of fear, the guitar plays the notes that Steven is thinking.
That's the funniest post in the comment section so far.
☝🤣 this one is head to head with Chuck Norris 🤣
Out of fear? Of what? A fight with Segal would probably go something like this. "Okay, so come at me, like this. No, more like this, it's an underhanded stabbing motion. No, but, aim for the middle, right here. Okay, and then I do this and you go flying. No man. You're not doing it right."
It's more than just simple, primal fear involved with his guitar strings and fingers. You see, he is able to perform with a certain charismatic artisanship in which his guitar strings almost literally become a part of his will, a part of his creative essence, and it gains strength through the ears and minds who recieve it and thus react to it. This energy, when plugged or tapped into things, is a life sustaining thing all in itself, and can easily remove the future need or fossil fuel and even electricity. It can function as a vibrational wall or dome around an actual organic utopia..like maybe what you see on the cover of Yessongs or Close to the Edge..or Fragile.
So it IS safe to say that Segal is one of The finest guitarists of today, and probably of all time.
Who is the comedian in your pfp? Seen clips and love him but dont know the name lol
He plays incredibly well for the amount of talent he has.
yeah this is clearly underrated
😂🤣 top comment

Him and Corey Feldman are two of my favorites.
He isn't recognized by any of the great guitar legends, He is adequate at best...a wannabe guitar player.
Funny... so basic.. what a blues guitarist learns the first week . 😅
A three-note solo using only two notes, the man is a genius!
50% better than Neil Young.
Its all in the hands, the guy explains in video, or is it the fingers...ok its something long..
I don't know what that means, but I'll agree!
neil young does it with one note....for you
@@monoped8437 yeah but he’s more of a songwriter and doesn’t really try to come off as a guitar virtuoso. I believe he absolutely has more chord knowledge and expertise than Stephen especially since he’s written hundreds of songs. I don’t believe Steven is really a songwriter?
I don’t know anything about his music I just know he’s overweight and obnoxious and a braggart from what I’ve seen so far? I don’t think I’ve ever seen him even try to be humble not even in an acting role as a humble person?
I love how Steven just believes he is the best at everything, while failing at everything 😂 he never stops being hilarious
Because he is.
???????
I don't know about the "failed at everything" tho, the man got rich and he really did put out at least a couple pretty good movies early in his acting career
Many others believe him too apparently.
Kenny, we all know him, but I’ve never heard of you… I’d say he’s done pretty well for himself…
He can make it talk ..
“Put me down, put me down” 😫
Hahahaha
He doesn’t. I don’t think it’s him playing the guitar. A music double.
Legend has it that Jimi Hendrix came up with the teeth technique from seeing Steven Seagal eating an entire rack of ribs by himself
That is hilarious
Good one old chap😂😂
You deserve to get pinned for that comment, most comments don't actually make me laugh out loud but this one did 🏆
Even L'il Wayne is in awe of such a tremendous solo.
L'i'l W'ayne asked him for guitar lessons, but Seagal refused to share all his knowledge of the fretboard.
Oh shit, dawg!
@@PressuredSpeechBand😆
You're all missing his true genius -- it's in the notes he doesn't play, and all the time we don't have to listen to him.
the space between the notes....
It's in the air between the space between the notes.
Ha yes
That laughingly hurts if actually true. The skepticism of some also is hilarious.
Lol Good one. Not sure why this guy is so dramatic about everything, constantly trying to impress people. You’d be better off practicing Steve!
I love how he stays out of the way of the other players. It’s almost as if he isn’t there at all. Genius.
Regardless of all the stories circulating about him, Seagal pushed the boundaries of music in who knows what direction.
In the general direction of the lower colon
Lmfao 😂😂😂😂
Yes, he pushed music off the edge of cliff.
@@PutItAway101 Maybe in the colon, maybe the sub colon. We don't know.

Steven Seagal’s not just a martial artist, he’s a martial guitarist! 🤣
Agree, I thought MGK held that title until i saw this
"I fear not the man who plays 10,000 notes once. I fear the one who plays the same note 10,000 times."

Say what you want about his playing, that solo has been stuck in my head on repeat for 3 days 😩
I heard that solo 7 years ago and its still stuck in my head.😭 It's come to the point where it turns up in every solo I try to improvise.
Sorry....
That’s what parasites do.
Go back to listening to the Partridge family
Medication will help.... any of that 2nd part (the overdubed part) isn't his playing. Maybe he dropped his pick, I know no one who's been playing since "i was a child" that uses that technique... if you can call it that! What a phoney.
Mr. Seagal ends all his shows with "You're welcome!"
My buddy showed me the first clip of him playing live while we we’re camping a while back. I laughed in tears for the whole solo, funniest shit I’ve ever seen
The way steven can bend notes with his mind like that is just extraordinary 1:04
You have serious issues. SS is not a "bad" player. But he is simplistic. Nothing close to special. Other than his ego, there is nothing extraordinary about SS. If you think so . . . you need to get help, and re-evaluate. You're putting the bar SO LOW!
Chuck Norris tought him everything
lol!!!!!!
😆!👍!!
I wonder what he's really playing in the video?
Steven Seagal is definitely one of the guitar players of all time.
😂
The edits of his martial arts clips and Tim Henson were perfect! Also love how Steven has been playing since he was a child, while his picking technique consists of just lazily thumbing the string like he's swiping on his phone
Beck played the same style. I've seen them both and Segal was heavily influenced by Beck and has said as much.

Give us the time in the video so we can see it too.
Do you take everything so literally ?@@Deontjie

@@valheart4399 I'm not sure if the ghost note in-between, was intentional or not
@Ash Scott it would sound even better if he went 2 notes, 2 notes for the build-up, then come in with the 3 note drop.
It was two notes that were screaming in terror, that's where the fundamentals come in
It's the space between the notes that makes his playing special. No one plays space between the notes like Steven plays.
If that's only one Steven Seagal. Imagine what a Flock of Seagals could play!
Sounds just like a Tom Morello solo. Guitarists have been ripping Stevy off for decades, so happy he's finally getting some recognition.
Someone get him a wammy pedal! Lololol
Tom Morello solo is always just a same old sold scratch fest with weird effects....dumb..no wonder he's got a picture of a Cuban serial murderer on his amplifier.🙄

I found this so hard to believe, his incredible guitar talent. Then l found out he's played this instrument for like 47 years, this dude takes awesome too another level. RESPECT!!
You are STILL trying to master Em, I imagine????
Oh man! That phrasing. The eclectic note choices. The exotic scale. Amazing... thank God he's a serious guitar player...
His powerful soloing technique is derived from years of pounding his fist into cement bags, a surefire way to develop suppleness in the fingers.
Segal's approach to playing guitar is quite scientific and incredibly difficult to duplicate.
He rides the fine line between Science and the Paranormal.
Many of guitardom's finest achievers have passed-out trying to replicate his solos. The one shown above being one of his best.
He is the only guitar player ever featured in
Modern Science Monthly and has ever been nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize for his guitar work in general.
Stop it! yer hurting my gut from laughing so hard...
Hahaha shut the fukin door 😅
I think he redifines the instrument, he is a legend of blues and music in general
Yeah we don't do that here
Those mushrooms for breakfast again????
Been trying to master Steven's thumb picking technique for 17 years. Still have a long way to go...
He,s a real Toy Caldwell
You know what?! As a guitar player I give him credits for being tight. Yes, it's just three notes, but they sound good and he plays them on point.

It just destroys that little bit of musicianship immediately....

Bro the Tim crossover did not have to go that hard lmfao, I'm dying in my chair
I like the part where he plays the other note
😂 thanks for that
Have to say I preferred the first note, just personal taste I suppose. Both were pretty awesome.
Right? He seems to just know exactly when to switch to the other note. It’s like he’s channeling Hendrix from the great beyond.
Paid attention, did not disappoint. Some say Steve beat the devil himself in a guitar solo battle - I can certainly believe it!

Steven Segul gives an astonishing performance as notes of every color bloom, in a splendor of creative expression. Every hue in the sonic rainbow is remarkably coaxed from the instrument, in order to illicit emotions that no words could express. The occasional blistering flurry of highly sophisticated runs are so well placed that you lose yourself in the music, but are astounded simultaneously. I can't listen too long, because I'll cry.
I cried too but your post healed the pain.
This was probably one of the only really well-written posts I have ever seen. The spelling was perfect. I am surprised you pushed ten likes, it was too intelligent for more than three.
@@gazza1252 ohh it should have been elicit. True. Splendour is not an error, though, because Americans spell it that way, by your own admission. It was also very well-written so why the pedantry? Sometimes autocorrect inserts a different but more common word
It was such a brilliantly written satire that I feel it should be celebrated. There is so much rubbish written on RUclips that the odd diamond in the rough stands out as a true gem, not to mix metaphors. Literacy and critical thinking are sorely lacking, and this writer seems bright. And last but not least, do you really think a person who writes 'made me LOL' can criticise another person's quite brilliant use of language? Do you not see a disparity there? Even Steven Segall would. You're welcome.
ATHE NOTES HE DOESNT PLAY ARE THE BEST
@CAVERN1234 that was a good one.
When I play, I feel the seagulls calling.
Great to see actors have surprising guitar soloing chops! Him and Lou Diamond Philips in La Bamba.
You know when you're great when your playing looks effortless. The sound he achieves with very little chord progression leaves even the staunchest critcs in awe.
It was so effortless that I started listening effortlessly until I realized that I had turned down the sound and was no longer listening at all.
Despite being an ordained Buddhist priest, a close confidant of the Dalai Lama, a top tier martial artist, an undeniably gifted actor, a world class gourmet chef, and a master fitness instructor with abs of steel Steven's humble but sublime axemanship leans more heavily towards the 'less is so much more' school of thought.

No Joke: they had to slow his playing down for this video because he's just too damned fast and too damn good.
He is beyond words. Insane is only a small part of his many gifts.
Not even joking, he's actually a really decent player. He's fun to make fun of, but if you've seen him play, it's worthy of respect.
The first one was basicaly nothing and seems silly if that's literaly all a person focuses on for reasons that are self evident. The second thing was fake. IDk if they just played some other music entirely over the video or if it was him actually miming the music and the music was what was played at the show. TBH, it's very common for musicians to mime on stage... You can literaly just play prerecorded stuff, pretend to be playing and people can't tell the difference. It happens all the time just like lip sinking. Not saying it's good or bad, sometimes you have to use prerecorded stuff in order to get better or to compensate for not having band mates to play all the parts. I just don't respect trickery. Either way he was not actually playing the second piece of music at all. 😅 I went to a metal show at a bar a while back and all the bands that played had prerecorded parts and miming in their performances... Even a drummer had extra bass drum hits that he wasn't actually playing being played by a recording... I get it, if you make music that is some crazy inhuman stuff or can't play all the parts live, but they're actually just being lazy a lot. I just like my music that I make anyway and I am not a big follower of anyone in the first place.
