I was amazed at how cognitive intact the speaker’s with PPA were considering PPA is a symptom of an underlying neurodegenerative disease. I had to look that up. Quite impressive!

To John M.: My experiences are almost exactly the same as yours, and I've been going to doctor after doctor and I've had MRI after MRI for 2 to 3 years with nobody believing the symptoms I've told them about. I've been told "Oh, it's fine" or "It's just your ADHD" or "It's all in your head." A few months later, I had a Zoom meeting with my boss and experienced an episode with my boss as a witness, and I couldn't form the words that were in my head! All that came out was guttural sounds. That was a year ago. Now I have cognitive decline, executive dysfunction, many more symptoms, and I'm trying to gain access to Medicaid and Disability. At age 58, I have to retire and hope I can bridge the gap between work and social security. I feel your pain! I had to self-diagnose, and just recently a Neurologist (M.D.) is beginning to believe me. These past few years have been so frustrating, as you know! Best wishes to you, John, and to all of you!
