That is the closest to an American Telecaster headstock I have seen. Usually the end is not quite correct in shape. Great job!!
Nice job! Very well done. That's a great idea to save the sawdust.
Real cool man 👍🏻
Hell yeah Tony. That looks so professional
Not pointy enough, Tony! You're headstock must double as a weapon.
LOL you can always use it as a bludgeon!
Your mind is the weapon, the Tele is the Tool!
Nah that time Kurt got punched by a security guard at his concert
Nice work, sir!
Impressive. It looks 100% pro. I like how it removes any painting. Rattle cans can not use hardeners so no mater how well you spray etc. the finish can easily come off in a year or two of handling. I would love to see how a body would come out with using stain and you wax treatment as it remove all the dust and hardening issues with paints.
What kind of paint have you been using? I've never had paint come off even after nearly thirty years of playing the same guitar. If you're only spraying a few coats yeah it would wear through easily but I don't do that. I always spray at least two cans of lacquer over a body and one full can over a guitar neck. This is more than sufficient that I can do it and make a better finish.
There's a Kramer single cut that I think is the most beautiful guitar I've ever seen, except it has the hideous hockey stick headstock. I would love to trim it down. It's a set neck though so a lot more clumsy to work with.
Excellent workmanship --thanks for sharing and posting!
Great job Tony considering you used just sanding bits. Wow.
Looks great Tony! Thanks 4 the " how to".
Looks great 👍 thanks Tony, good idea saving the saw dust!😁

Unfortunately my headstock is a tilt back. 😞
P Hi my name is Mike I am a bass player I have a PGA base that I want to put a fretless jazz neck on it and I'm having some difficulty I know I can go to fender and spend 600 bucks but I'm looking to spend something a little bit more low budget can you help me with this issue thank you very much big fan of your podcast cool stuff rock on
That's A LOT of material to hog off by sanding. Might be worth it to cut off most of the excess with a handsaw, then start shaping with the sanding drums and paper.
Yes if you have the proper tools it helps to use them LOL
