- In this video I’ll be showing you the Radiotelephony procedure for obtaining the airways clearance, clearance to pushback, start up and taxi out.
We will consider a flight from Mumbai to Kolkata as an example.
Always keep in mind that when you transmit on a radio frequency, you represent yourself, your country and the company you are operating for. Remember to Always use a respectful, polite, and professional tone.
Though not mandatory, use of greetings in the first and last transmission to a controller is a friendly gesture that shows good manners and builds goodwill.
Thank you very much for your time! I hope you enjoyed the video!
Wishing you all the best!
Please recheck the pilot call of pushback. It should include “request pushback“.
To cut down on the communication the ATC can sometimes directly clear you for pushback. In case, you do not get any clearance from the ATC, then the pilot can request for pushback.
“Go ahead” is no longer being used with reference to ICAO documents. Instead, the station identity should be addressed for responding to any call from either pilot or ATC.
Thanks for the update.
i think nowadays "Pass Your Message" is used insted of "Go Ahead"
