One inaccuracy: YOU NEED TYPE RATINGS ON THE AIRBUS AIRCRAFT. An a320 pilot cannot simply jump from the a320 to the a330 and than the a350, as although there are minor differences, minor differences are extremely important when we're talking about the way pilots are trained. Pilots should be able to locate switches and buttons using muscle memory, almost without looking, and know exactly when to use different switches. Due to the fact that the a320 has vastly different flight physics compared to wide body aircraft, the timings and calculations will all be different. The a350 is even worse, as it switches to an almost all screen system, which is not easy to navigate for a320/a330 pilots.
You are thinking of it more complex than it is. A typical type ratings is 3 to 6 weeks of training. All of mine fell into that time period. 747 was 5 weeks for me and the 737 was 3 weeks. My A340 was 6 weeks. But here is the kicker. I can get typed in the A330 in 1 day. The A320 in 6 days, and the A380 and A350 in 9 days. Flight physics are the same basically, due to FBW. We hired a 15 year Captain of an A320, got him typed on the A340 and from the first flight, it looked like he had flown the A340 for 15 years. But how would it be possible to make this profit when the aircraft is grounded half of the day due to technical issues. That's where the neo fails.
The A330neo does NOT have a new wing. It has new wingtips from composite, redesigned flap fairings, new upper belly fairings from composite and they removed some structural strenght which was built for the additional engines hanging under the A340 wing. Otherwise its still the same aluminum wing. The 787 is much more advanced overall.

The A330 NEO is the same aluminum frame from the past. No real innovation here. When you operate airbus you have to compromise passengers, or cargo, or fuel. The airbus flight by wire is over forty years old. Time to update this system. Regardless of airbus model, a complete new type rating is needed to fly the 330 or 320 or 350.

If the pilot crisis is so bad why are airlines not doing anything about it alot of people want to be pilots its just too expensive
That Bugatti Veyron a "fuel efficient machine"? I think not! ;)
I don't know why using the same cockpit (configuration) is quite brilliant. It is just common sense and cheaper, unless you want to keep a design team occupied with new designs and sell expensive training packages.
What is brilliant about it, is being fly-by-wire and making it easier to develop 'flying operating' software over the years.
I think it's based on the Trent 1000 core and not the XWB.
Airbus video yet they keep showing the new 777X when talking about the wings 🤣
Because the 330 neo wont stand up to the 7x
@@andrewlarson7895Apples & pears. They are not in the same market segment. Ridiculous to attempt to compare the two
@@alabama1413 yes they are not compatible with each other i didn't make the video im just responding to what it said..
No aircraft tire lasts 10-12 years no matter what it’s made from. More like 1-2 months would be allot
I am waiting for a a320 xlr.
Awesome.
I love ❤
I don’t think it’s correct say that only the 330 Neo introduction has led to CEBU Air’s revenue increase! I rather think the core reason was the covid prj end!
Why nobody has the guts to mention the other reason of qualified pilots! The pilots whi did not wanted the vax during C and got fired!
Advertising for Airbus completely
Everything was going well until you called bugatti fuel efficient :D
Incorrect. Not EVERY Airline Company wants it. LCC's don't want it.
Neither do 787 operators. And 80 of the A330CEO operators who are switching over to the 787.
Cebu Pacific and Air Asia are LCC!
@kuru61 are you thinking Worldwide or just Europe and those countries? I'm thinking North American Companies, Canadian, American & Mexican.
@@danwardlaw2160 Air Asia and Cebu Pacific are not North American. I am thinking worldwide including the EU and the Philippines
USA needs to tap the trans movement for pilots, apparently anyone can self-ID as a pilot, how great is that ?
😂
I have worked on A330 neo as well as on old... And I would clearly say that A330neo is a disaster when compared to the beautiful A330... Its true that all the design modification and engines gives lot of benefits on fuel and performance.
They also swept back the wings like the a350's. So all in all including everything you said, the only similarity is the material.
@@fakeshrew as far as I know the changes to the A330neo are minor and far from a new developed wing like the 777X has for example.
@@widget787
As far as I know, the moon is made of blue cheese. Either you know or you don't know about the wing design bud. Your two bites at this cherry are contradictory. First it "does NOT........", then "as far as I know". Which is it, as my confidence in you is waning.........?
@@artrandy Show me where I can read about the sweep back of the A330neo wing. Couldn't find anything about it at all. I am very interested in this.
@@widget787 literally look up top down views of the CEO and the NEO
Fed up of hearing "you see".😡😡😡
The A330 NEO is the same aluminum frame from the past. No real innovation here. When you operate airbus you have to compromise passengers, or cargo, or fuel. The airbus flight by wire is over forty years old. Time to update this system. Regardless of airbus model, a complete new type rating is needed to fly the 330 or 320 or 350.
Fuel efficient machine.
Goes on to show a Bugatti.
Lol.
The video sounds like it's sponsored!
Why u added a 737-8 ? Not an Airbus, my guy😂😂 & a 777 & 787? 😂
As time passes and personnel resources become more scarce (including pilot shortages), the airline industry will be forced to consolídate choices and/or streamline their fleets to aircrafts that can perform well in all three markets, short, medium, and long haul routes. The big winners will be the A330 NEO, B787s, and the A220s.
Still 2 4 2 in eco?
Omg, Amen. Wayyyyy to talky.
I fly the A330CEO and A330NEO and I can tell you... the cockpit of the A350 is NOTHING like the A330! A pilot cannot just transition from the 330 to the 350! That is not an accurate description.
nice
Yahh they are begging to get some… maybe not.. 😂
Make boeing videos for once
Sleek fuel efficient machine, shows Bugatti 😂😂
Tires 10-12 years? I dont get that? how will the tired endure 10 years and thousands of landings? Also the clunker is more fuel efficient than the sports car youve shows XD
Its true
This channel only favors Airbus. There’s no level playing field between the two plane makers. I would rather watch a channel that talks about the good and the bad between both plane makers.
Makes a change from the fawning Boeing commentary. That said balanced reporting is preferable.
THANK YOU!! 👍😉✈️✌️
Boeing equivalent remains grounded, so what to compare that with? Comac?
Relax! If it’s about your patriotism, Böing has German roots anyways.
Boeing has poor manufacturing they pay their workers less than McDonald’s
Aliens exist
Ok I don't think EVERY airline wants the A330 NEO some airlines might have trouble with it (southwest, alaska, ryanair, other all Boeing airlines)
Why mention airlines that only use narrow body aircraft? They aren’t in the market for a wide body.
@@rtbrtb_dutchy4183 thats exactly what I mean, those airlines are not meant for the A330 NEO and it sounds like this guy is saying every airline wants the A330 neo

Many inserts of none Airbus products. This is not professional. Thumb down and I stopped watching 2 minutes in the run because of that.
This video is a lie. Every airline is not begging for the A330Neo.
