bless to all of you. i just turned 30. saddest day of my life on my birthday. this specific HIM album some other bands/albums i listened to at the time in the 00s hold a very special place in my heart, i was a teenager in the 00s, 13 at the time in junior high when i discovered them because of viva la bam, and the reason i found viva la bam show was because of the jackass show. god bless the 00s and the 90s. music, movies, shows, atmosphere, video games, internet, was just perfect in the 00s, especially early 00s obviously.
this sounds corny as hell but this band really kept me going when i was really depressed and when i really didn't see a future for myself, i started using drugs and alcohol as "medication" and after abusing both of those became a problem a really good friend of mine took me on a holiday for a week, no drugs no alcohol, hell not even cigarettes, first 3 days were the hardest days of my life.. 4th day we went to a live performance of HIM, it was in a small bar, maybe 25 people were in that night and at the first note they played, i got shivers, started to get really emotional and after just 2 songs i really felt that i had to change every single thing in my life otherwise i wouldn't make it past 23.. the music hit me so hard that evening and still does to this day this band really changed my life a full 180 degrees around.. i quit the drugs, alcohol and the overall toxic lifestyle i was living, only bad habit im still guilty of is smoking cigarettes but at least i live a normal, happy, healthy life.. and all of that.. thanks to this amazing band
same thing happened to me, i can relate to this word b y word and what makes it more amazing is that iv meet so many people that say similar stories and because of this band they have changed so much! thank you for letting me read your story and letting me get to know you a little bitter even tho its just through youtube!

I used to be suicidal. The one person I opened up to (after being depressed for 3-4 months) said that he didn't trust my word, that he would believe me when I actually do it. I got depressed because I was in a relationship with someone who became my bestfriend that came with a lot of hurt. I had to give up friends and social media. Which is kind of worse since I'm not really close with my family. We are on small talk nothing about feelings or serious topics. I used to go out sometimes but then I was accused of cheating so often that I stopped going out and since I didn't have a job I just stayed the majority of my time in my room. This might sound messed up but I kinda hate seeing people sad about the lockdowns. Lock down or not I'm still always feeling pressured to maintain the lifestyle that was pushed on me by him
Today I heard Bam Margera is "dying" from substance abuse and Steve-o admitted there is nothing more he could do for him to help him. Then I remembered that these dudes are the reason I started listening to HIM. They helped me like they helped you. I wish BAM would give this song a listen today...

This band reminds me of the early late 90s and 2000s. This was the last album I bought with any excitement and it was good as fuck. I remember getting two of the tracks via bootleg early and they were such shit copies and I though oh my god these two songs are the best. Then when the album came out I was these are the worst of the album. Haha. So good. Have not listened to them in ages. Had a dream last night and this song was playing and I had to listen to it. Wow. Blasted me right back to my early 20s. Really put time into perspective. To bad they disbanded. They were a great band when they shined.
