It’s still hard for me to think of Chris and Chester. It was an unbelievable few months! Still breaks my heart, I too suffer from depression etc so it hits home. My son also passed only a few months before who also suffered from issues so my feelings were still so raw. REST IN PARADISE CHRIS You are so missed. Thank you Scott so much . Much love ❤
Hello there Quinny I am Not sure What your name is? My name is Shannon My deepest Condolences and My Prayers are with you 💐🙏🏼👼🏼🕯️🕊️❣️ your Family & Friend's I cannot even fathom on what you are going through 😞😢so Sorry for your Lost💙
Yeah, it’s crazy. We had this happen in our friend group back in 2002. May that year our friend Ray passed away. One month almost to the day, our friend Chad passed away. Chad was at Ray’s funeral and everyone from Ray’s funeral were at Chad’s funeral. There were only a handful of people that weren’t at each other’s funerals. It was such a bad time for us. Chad would’ve turned 45 last week
Man i remember those years from 2015 to around 2018 we lost Scott Weiland, Prince, David Bowie, Tom Petty, Chris Cornell and probably a few others im missing, but it was brutal losing all of those amazing artists 😢😞
I met Chris once when he played a gig in 1991 in Bristol, UK. I went with a few friends from Cardiff - Wales capital city, a hour trip on the train and I went to a record store in the daytime & bought a picture disc vinyl 7" of Jesus Christ Pose and went into the venue in the daytime to find the Soundgarden guys and found Chris first - he was happy to sign my vinyl record cover and waited for me to chat more but I got starstruck and thanked him and then found Kim who seemed grumpy to see me and Matt who was also happy to sign, cheerful like Chris.. that was an awesome day! Their gig in the night was so cool, a nice initmate venue called the Bierkeller where I also saw Mudhoney
Yeah. For me it is Chrissy and Layne Staley. My 2 favorite singers of my 2 favorite bands ever. Although AIC is/was definitely my first best favorite band. Layne and Chris were the best singers of any genre of the last 40 years in my opinion.
I was crushed when Chris Cornell died, a great voice, musician, and man. I started listening to him when he was in Temple of the Dog. (still one of my top 5 CDs). After that I fell in love with Soundgarden. I also loved Audioslave, a supergroup for sure. I love Hollywood Cemetery and was able to pay my respects to Chris and others too. It was a sad walk around the cemetery.
" No one sings like you anymore,, black hole sun won't you come and wash away the rain" RIP Chris Cornell always forever loved, and never forgotten! 🕊🥀🕯
It still hurts and pains me Chris' & Chester's Deaths. Both were so talented, both great song writers and performers, both also shared the same issues with Depression and Drugs. It's so sad the way they both died and I can't get over the fact they didn't receive the help they needed to prevent their deaths. RIP Chris Cornell 🙏🕊️. Thanks Scott for doing this 😞💔
Chris was one of those people where I immediately remember exactly where I was and what I was doing when I found out he had died. I was devastated and like you said, his unique voice can never be replaced. I also first saw them in the nineties, front row of Brixton Academy in London. It’s a shame you forgot he has 3 children, Lily Silver from his first marriage, a very talented musician in her own right. I feel for all 3 of them 💔
same here, just crushed me when he passed,, he was like our icon to our age group , had a great way of connecting with us fans in such a deep spiritual way...mystical , mesmerizing way imho.. @@lisaparsons4124

Chris and Susan had a daughter, Lily his 1st born. She looks just like him. She has a beautiful voice and a warm, compassionate personality just like him.

Yet another great video Scott. Like you said - The Voice. Whether or not I dug all the songs, I always took in those vocals. One of the best indeed! He could hit pretty much every note vocally and oh! so beautifully and with so much power. I don't know which song I love the most from him (group-wise or solo) but one that is striking me at the moment is his live (in the studio) take of "Nothing Compares 2U." He totally makes it his own - and deservedly so. Very sincere and touching tribute, my friend. Thanx so much for the post. Until next time, take care!

My wife and I actually met Kim Thyal our first ever trip to Seattle in 2019 to see Cornells statue outside of the museum! We just happened to run into him getting out of a cab and going into a hotel! Such a cool guy!
Living in ann arbor michigan, AAAND , Being an ex- concert security guy. I almost went to that concert and missed cause of work, or somthing and waking up to hear the news that he passed just 39 miles away really hit home! I got to do security for AUDIOSLAVE and i was just in heaven, he and the guys tore the roof off the fillmore, formally the STATE theater on woodward. When they hit the stage, i was in the barracde stage left, i knew WHY, this gentleman of Rock was bombastically charged!! Because he loved what he did!! Gonna miss em' live kenny!! ❤
2023 was a year of music discovery for me at 68. Finding songs, bands and history from the early 1960's that I vaguely knew about and now know a lot more. I eventually moved to the 80's/90's Seattle "grunge" era. At the time, it wasn't my vibe at all but now, many years late, I love it. So may bands with such a history and unfortunately, tragic ending to beloved singers/musicians. I want to say that my ultimate favorite works that Chris did were the Audioslave years (6 years and the 3 albums)...I listen frequently. In 2017, I didn't even know about losing Chris as I was doing care giving for my beloved partner who had cancer (and passed at the time of Chester's memorial service, which was 15 minutes from my home.) My heart now breaks for so many I found in my journey...Bad Finger members, Jim Morrison, Layne (❤), Mike Starr, Scott, Mark, Chris, Chester and SO many more...very sad. Chris, I hope you are still singing and someday, I hope to hear you. Peace and much Love. 😭❤🙏🤘

I feel like crying ,when I hear him sing.I Loved him.
I have been there several times. It is a beautiful serene place.
THANK-YOU SCOTT !! Beautiful Tribute For CHRIS !!!!!!!!!!! 😊❤💯✌
