Ham Radio Emergency communication stations were set up in Wayanad, Kerala

Welcome to the world of ham radio. Academy of ham radio welcoming all the youngsters and qualified people, technocrats, engineering students, all the eligible candidates to join in the bandwagon to serve the nation when it is in crisis. We have seen the devastation caused by heavy rains, relentless rains and cloudbursts that triggered landslides and caused a heavy destruction on July 30th at night 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Landslides have caused due to the heavy rains and cloudbursts as a result of which hundreds of people have feared to be dead, injured or trapped under the debris.
The National Disaster Response Force, military, they have accelerated their relief and rescue operations as a part of which ham radio stations have been established in the required places. Hams, braving all the odds, they have set up stations in different places where the communication was disturbed and that is essential for carrying relief and rescue operations. A team of radio operators from Kerala, they are spreading in the affected area where the devastation is caused and still the relief and rescue operation is going on to safeguard the people.
Some people are still under the debris. So, hams are considered to be the national resource and in which we have been associated for the last 40 years and we have been extensively participating in the operations in the disasters like the one which we are currently facing in Wayanad district of Kerala state. So, we have been conducting a series of training programs continuously through online.
Those who are interested, they can join in the training program and after completion of the training program, they can sit for the examination. After qualifying the examination, they will be given ham radio license which is internationally valid. Today, different types of equipments are available right from small walkie-talkie costing about 1600 rupees through online UV5R that is the cheapest equipment among all these things and right from that level to you can go to any level satellite communication.
Nowadays, even high frequency equipments are also available assembled here in India itself. So, you are all requested to join in our training program so as to qualify general grade examination that is considered to be the top grade in India. They are allowed up to 400 watts in certain frequencies.
Within our country, self-made equipments and antennas also self-made equipments are all available for cheaper rates. Once it is considered to be the commercial hobby, now it is coming down. A middle class person also can avail ham radio equipment.
Similar manner, BSE electronics people and those who are having above qualification, they also will be exempted. So, all this they can easily qualify ham radio with having some practice in Morse code and communication procedure. That is a limited subject, we will take care about this.
So, morning and evening and as per your convenient, the training classes will be conducted so that you can choose to join any batch and within one month of period, you can complete the training. If you want to give the examination in Vijayawada, you are welcome or otherwise you can choose any place in India at about around 25 examination centers are there spreading in wireless monitoring stations. So, you can choose the monitoring station as per your choice, but you can avail the training program through academy of ham radio.
Since it is an online training program, sitting anywhere, you can undergo training and we will provide all the information integrity of trainings. And once after completion of the training, you can appear and within two months, nowadays, due to the change of the policies of the wireless planning coordination wing, license are coming very quickly. You can avail this facility and you can join in the bandwagon of national resource.
Their services are very very important. Their services are key. During the disasters, no other system will works other than ham radio.
It is acknowledged worldwide, even United States of America also encouraging ham radio people and they formed races being radio amateur civil emergency service like this. We can also have some organization to serve the nation when it is in crisis. So, hopefully you will all will avail this facility and becomes ham radio operators for more and more information.
