Love the passion and expertise you present in this very well executed video! This story is obviously close to your heart and it shows. It feels like you could write your own version of this story! Would love to see The Three Musketeers adapted by Robin!

Good review. I've always been partial to the 1973 version of Three Musketeers with Michael York and Raquel Welch because it was the most fun and adventurous of all the versions that I can remember seeing.

Thanks! Yeah, 1973 version stood the test of time for me too, even though I am always rooting for any adaptation. When it comes to improvising, BBC One TV series "The Musketeers" really surprised me in a good way.

Year 1627 - and all firearms are flintlocks, assassin in the cathedral is using Charleville musket model 1777 ( good closeup )

Even in the 73 dick lester version they used wheel locks so you'd have thought this version could get it right.

as a musketeers and a dumas fan i really hoped for a better review. its a french topic, its a french movie, so what could go wrong ? anyway i will give it a try when i can see both parts (dártagnan and mylady) on disc and then go back to my richard lester movies or the gene kelly movie from the forties

Oh, I was so hoping the French version would knock any other one out of the park . But then again, the story has a chance to round up well for all of us to enjoy with the second film. Let's hope...

I think this is the best film adaptation of the 3 musketeers yet...personally.

I can't wait to see the second half, even though the first didn't impress me. Soon enough :)

"Game of thrones season 8 episode 3" Robin, Game of thrones had 4 seasons... A shame they made such a loose adaptation, to put it delicately. Dumas' (or as that guy in Shawshank calls him "Dum ass" 🤣) books are such good reads. I got dizzy following the weave of the plot of Monte Cristo the first time I read it.

Haha, yes! "The episode from the show with the battle you can't see...and if you do, you wish you never knew how it ends." I might of got addicted to historical fiction when I read The Count of Monte Cristo and The Last of the Mohicans right after.
