This is the very first video BTR released demonstrating the frame building methods used in "The Shed". We talk about the passions that drive us to build frames and the lengths we go to to ensure our bikes are the best they possibly can be.

I love what you guys do. And believe it or not I finished high school last year and now i’m preparing for university. I too always wanted to build my own frame. You are a perfect example for me. I hope i can do that just like you guys did.

Your company inspires me when im doing anything to do with bikes. I know I would never be able to get one but the fact that you've stayed as a 2 man company to this day is amazing. I hope one day your bikes are on the podiums of all races because you put the most effort into your what you do.

Dig your head tube gusset. I considered something similar when i was designing my last bike, but didn't quite settle on it. You made it work and it looks good.
Thanks mate! I don't use that x gusset anymore though. It was a bit Marmite, people either loved it or hated it.
Well bros I am starting a bike company who would have thought that there is a mad amount of work involved props to yawl
A bike frame looks so simple. It should be just so easy to knock one together. I also under estimated the sheer amount of work that went into one.

As a welder i apreciate your work! Pro tip: always cut off the oxidized end of the filler rod.
Thanks mate. Not much point cutting the tip off the road on steel unless you are wire brushing the weld each time you stop as well...

Now this REALLY inspired me to make my own frame or heavily modifie one i already have! I wish i could afford such a frame! Maybe one day. I have the feeling that it would be a MUST for me to fly over and just watch you building that frame

I love Hardtails, I really want a "Yeti ARC-ish" frame for me and I'm seriously thinking about trying to make it happen with my own hands. What would you say is the easyest and most difficult material? Like ranking aluminum vs steel vs titanium
Steel is definitely easiest. Titanium requires back purging (gas on the inside of the frame). Aluminium is also a bit finicky.
How long does it normally take for you all to build a frame
Around about 20hrs
How often do you guys finish a bike?
I do about 20 a year now. Tam has moved on and it is just Burf who remains, now.
Where do you get the tubes? columbus italy?
The front triangle tubes come from Reynolds and the rear stay tubes come from Deda.
Do you do any street trials frame s for sale
