Thank you so much for giving clear and detailed instruction on using Penly. You've made it much easier to make the switch from paper to digital. When I first looked at the planner, I was overwhelmed. It will still take time and practice, but I feel more confident than before. Great job!
I can't thank you enough for breaking this down for me. I've always done paper planners for years and in wanting to switch to digital I forgot that Im not very experienced. I have been looking at these pages cluelessly for days and now its beginning to make sense. Thanks for the knowledge!
Thank you for your words of affirmation!! I'm so happy to hear this was helpful to you!! I hope you have a fun and productive digital planning experience!!
Thank you so much for this video! I have been using it for several months but learned quite a bit from your video. For one thing, it finally clicked that I didn't have the S Pen to text option because I was using a different keyboard - not the Samsung default. Game changer!!

Thank you for watching! I'm so happy you enjoyed it and found it helpful. I want to do more videos for other Android apps. Any apps you would like to know about?
You're amazing! Thank you! Its my first time doing digital journaling, and i got so frustrated cause i was at lost when i purchased the app. More videos like this. Thank you thank you thank you!
You are so very welcome!! I'm so happy you found this video helpful! What types of videos would be helpful? Penly is beginner friendly when you play around with it. I always get the select tool confused when I'm in the image tool.
Thank you so much for your comment! This brought a smile to my face. I'm so glad it was helpful to you!! Penly had some updates since this tutorial was made and it now has a color picker and a free lasso select tool too!
Love the tutorial Cindy!!! I even looked at how Rina makes stickers while she's doing her monthly planning!! Been playing with making some while I am planning out! I'm the sticker queen as you know by now haha 😄 but I'm liking how I'm getting the hang of it! 🙂
Oh! You tutotiall was really helpful, thank you so much! I just have one question: does the button in the s pen works on penly? I use it a lot when I'm writing, since it helps me to delete mistakes
Hi thanks for watching! I'm glad you found this helpful. the spen button to erase works in penly. I don’t use the writing tool often and for me the erase tool will erase an entire stroke regardless of eraser size. this has nothing to do with the spen but the app. not sure if its just a glitch for me or for everyone. Penly also recently released a new update so there are some added features since this video.
Hey! I just love your videos. One things I would like to ask if the penly app is free in this tablet or not because n other devices, it's paid app but i have seen people also say it's free only on Samsung tablet
Thanks for watching!! I'm glad you're loving the videos. The Penly app is a paid app. But in comparison to other apps, I think it is still affordable with all of the features it offers. I haven't heard of it being free only on Samsung. I have a Samsung tablet and I paid for mines. This app I believe is only available on android devices though.
I dont think there is a way in thr penly app. you might have to try a picture or photo editing app to change the opacity and resave it before importing it into Penly.
Hi, thanks for the video, I have a question, I use a phone and a tablet, does this app support sync on multiple devices? I need this feature so much, also does it support writing with a stylus? Much love
Hi! Penly does sync between tablet and phone. Some people have also used it on their computer too by using an android emulator like bluestacks. I personally do not use the sync feature between phone and tab myself. It does support writing with a stylus if you mean writing with a pen or marker. You can also write to text by using the android keyboard pen to text feature. Thanks for watching!! Penly made a few updates since this video so there are some additional features not shown in this video.
Thank you for the video, I find it really helpful. I have a question how to add tabs to the penly? I saw some planner that has more than the usual tabs so I am wondering on how to do it.
Hi there! Sorry it took me a couple days to respond. I was trying to play around with Penly and at the moment, I don't think you can open more than one planner at a time. If that's what you mean by "more than the usual tabs" If that's not what you mean, can you explain a little bit more by what you're asking? If you want to know how to add more pages then you would open up the pages panel on the top left and select edit and select the pages you would like to "copy" then you would go to the section that you want to paste the pages.
Great video straight to the point not a lot of extra stuff. Love how you made it about the app and not your products. Which makes me want to purchase your product. ? can you use this app on your computer? THANK YOU
I'm glad you found it helpful. As of right now the developers have made this an android based app and currently only on tablets. I think they are working on it to be on the phone as well in the future.

Yes I did make my planners and stickers! I dont have tutorial videos on this but there are tons of videos on RUclips on how to make them. I used PowerPoint to make my planners and my functional stickers.
Hi! So at 830 I created a new document, not a page. And yes there was an edit in the video. For that moment you can ignore the 68 pages. I think in filming I was hoping around in what I was doing and when editing, I was trying to organize it so it made sense.
That's a great idea, I'll add that to my list on how to set up your planner quickly. You won't be able to date it all at once, but there is a fast way to do it. if you set up once month first and then copy and paste it to your other months.
Hello i would like please to know if i can open an account in penly? For example if my tablet get lost or broke can i still find my documents & notes that was in the app ?
I'm not sure about that part. I know you can sync it to a cloud to back up your planner. When I reinstalled the app on my tablet I didn't see any of my files. might have to email support to ask them about it.
I was using noteshelf and im interested with penly now. I noticed there's something different. So noteshelf has many kind of templates of digital notes or planner with covers and etc. So I want to ask does penly has that too? Or just the planner from HappyDownload??
Penly has templates of pages within the app when you open a new document. But it does not have planner templates like notrshelf does. They include their digital planner in there for free already preloaded. But if you want more planners you'll have to get more of your own, either free or paid. You can find free digital planners from creators. If they are PDFs then you can import them into Penly and use it. I give a free digital planner in the description box.
Hi there! Thanks for watching. There should be a way to import within your existing when you open the pages manager (the 4 boxes on the left) and select the page before where you want it. then click on the import button in the top right. It looks like a download icon. I personally haven't used Penly in a while since I've moved to Samsung Notes. But I remember being able to merge PDFs is a possibility. Try it out and let me know how it does. Maybe try it with some test/dummy pdfs
Hi! Thanks for asking! Check out the video at 21:00 minutes. I use the text tool there. When you select a font style in the drop down you have the option to import fonts. You select import font and select the font that you've previously downloaded or saved to your device. I think penly uses the ttf format but I can't remember on the top of my head. You can get fonts from creative fabrica or dafont.com. I've gotten lots of free fonts from both places!
Hi! I think there's a setting you can set so you can use your fingers and you can also type in with a keyboard. But I haven't tried using it without a stylus, so I'm not sure. Have you checked the settings?
Are you trying to import them directly into the Penly app or drag them in? Personally, I would just drag and drop from a cloud drive or from the SD card. Bc I wouldn't want to slow down the Penly app
Can you change the color of your pages, I don't like the rainbow colors. Also, can I change the background or desktop wood grain design, not my taste at all. Thanks.
Hi! Thanks for watching. Can you tell me which planner you're using? the pages on my planners are all white. the tabs are the only thing that are colored and I also offer different color variations in my shop.
