I literally just had Sonic for the first time yesterday, and I ordered the Popcorn chicken and I loved it.
I enjoy their Popcorn Chicken once in a while. As for the fries, I never had them, I always get the Tater Tots.

As a former Sonic manager, I can tell you. All of the chicken sucks at Sonic. As far as the cross-contamination with peanuts with the blasts and shakes, we took that VERY seriously, washing both the mixer and the the surrounding areas after dealing with a peanut order. The chili thing wasn't true either at the location I worked at. It may have been sitting in the steam table for hours at a time, but we checked our temps regularly, I really love the footlong chili cheese dog. The Super-Sonic breakfast burrito was my go-to, before I even worked there. I ate it all the time when I worked there. This was less than 2 years ago, and I have since had a Super-Sonic breakfast burrito and it's still DAMN tasty. I didn't notice a difference. Oh yeah, the fries sucked even when they were fresh. It's best to ALWAYS go with tots, or for an upcharge, the chili cheese tots, the Ched 'R Peppers or the mozzarella sticks.

I had their chicken yesterday and I loved, so two things: 1. You lie about the chicken and 2. I doubt you worked there. The Sonic where I live, has always been good every time I order there. Yours wherever you live, sucks very likely.
@@Southernguy39 Why would I lie about working at a fast food restaurant? It's not the President of the United States. I definitely worked there, for about 2 years. I'm not lying about the chicken, I always thought there was something to be desired. It was just very basic, not inedible, but there are far better options at Sonic. Different strokes I guess.

Pretty the people who did the list went to one sonic their life and wrote everything wrong with it in their opinion. The Coney are top tier. Cheese fries are spot on. The sonic blasts can give dairy queen a run for their money. People probably don't know how to order at sonic
If you're never sober at Sonic...you cannot be harmed.
I once ordered onion rings from Sonic, and they were rancid. Fortunately, my nose picked up on it immediately before I tasted said rings. I couldn't believe it at the time...
You can add their (barely) grilled cheese sandwich snack that's "grilled" for no more than 10 seconds and served at room temperature.
To be fair, we only go to Sonic for their slushes/drinks. The only food I order there is their breakfast croissant with tots since no other fast food restaurants serve those during lunch hours.
Basically what I took away from this video is stay away from Sonic at all costs because apparently everything there is bad
well I mean as a manager at sonic I can agree with somethings but the milkshakes machines are mainly cleaned hourly and we have a thing called allergy mode and I'm pretty sure other fast food places do as well where we deep clean everything to make sure stuff like that doesn't happen.

I found it funny when he tried to put ice cream into a cone. I was a master at McDonald's and gave customers about 8 inches of ice cream for their money.

My complaint about Sonic: tiny portions at huge prices. My complaint about the speaker on the vid: too dang nasally. *shrug* No one thing is always going to make everyone happy.
I happen to like their sonic blasts. The cookie dough brownie one is my favorite. And yes, I even like the vanilla ice cream that goes with it.
Unfortunately, the sonic that I go to can never seem to get this order correct and I’ve gotten sonic blasts that we’re not actually mine I think, they were somebody else’s order. And this has happened on a number of occasions
I never have found plastic in mind. It’s funny, they mentioned peanut allergies in here, growing up you never heard anybody mention anything about peanut allergies or any food allergies for that matter. Also, you never heard anything about gluten-free this or gluten-free that. Now I’m not begrudging somebody with a peanut allergy but, things have changed so much
Yeah, isn’t it awful how accommodating people are to those who don’t want to die? Just the worst I tell ya.
I am a sonic employee, the reason why we have that addressed in the first place is because we serve peanut butter(recces) and that includes the candy as well
Another thing I wanna mention is when taking out orders to customers, carhops can sometimes get things mixed up easily depending on what type of system they have, or better yet they’re rushed by managers..

I used to love Sonics until I went one busy night and they served me old burger meat that reminded me of clay. The lettuce was soggy and unfresh as well. The onion rings are horrible. The only thing worth getting is the cherry limeade slushy. It's the best drink ever. Besides that, Sonics not good unless u live near one that's not as busy then u may get lucky.
The sonic I work at is always busy but we always make sure the burgers and sides are cooked perfectly, otherwise it’ll lead up too more customers and longer wait times for other customers that pull up. Another thing is that our main goal is to take orders out under 4mins but if it’s any longer then 4mins then we must tell customers on why it’s taking long to receive your order. If this is not addressed next time you go to that sonic, try to get in contact with the owner.

I love Sonics French fries better than McDonald's anyway. For McDonald's in my hometown, they over season the fries with way too much salt
I used to work there, spoiler alert they don't wear gloves and are supposed to wash their hands for 20secs every 20 mins. They don't. Also burger patties, corn dogs, and chicken are fried in large quantities and put in a heater to distribute. Supposed to be thrown out every 30 mins

Once I ordered a burger and it tasted weird so I lifted up the bun and buried in the bun was a dead fly! I cannot eat there ever again!

The only thing I have ordered from any Sonic that is CONSISTENTLY terrible are the fries...thus I never order them anymore. Everything else I order is ALWAYS hot and fresh. Just my opinion.
Only go to Sonics for the Ocean water, Cherry Limeade or tots. Nothing else

Bought Corn Dogs (2) Got home burned inside & out ! Contacted Sonic. Told me I could get 2 free ones....that was a lie !! Sent coupons for a free one if I purchased something ! Told them I wanted a refund...to date have not received anything from them and it's been a month !

There's too many mistakes here to address so I'll just address the last one. Sonic uses styrofoam cups (not plastic) and even if they used plastic cups the contents would spill out the broken areas so that's a fabrication.
we do actually use plastic cups for slushies specials or ice cream but not for soft drinks.
Tbh I wouldn't bother with KFC we don't have a sonic in Tasmania so I can't judge it for myself but KFC is disgusting over here.

i think the frys are the bast frys in my area. i love soggy frys (i know, unpopulor opion) they are better soggy, and if my frys are crispy im very disappointed. my faveorite thing to order is frys, marinara sticks, a bacon breakfast burrito, and cheddeRpeppers
In my opinion is probably the worst out of any fast food I've experienced. Their drinks range from fine to good, and the chicken is... passable but everything else is bad. Not like disgusting, but it is the blandest food I've ever eaten at a restaurant. Most places have a taste you can associate with their food products but it's like Sonic cooks for an old folks home: no seasoning on anything. The hot dogs and burgers taste like nothing. The fries are awful. The tots are better but not even as good as tater tots you would get in elementary school
I think the burgers are the most disappointing because they actually look pretty good and then it just tastes like a slab of unseasoned ground beef.
That thing about peanut allergies is weak though, you legit shouldn't get milkshakes or blender drinks anywhere that has a peanut drink on the menu if you're allergic to them. Unless you're running a high volume ice cream only place that has tons of interchangeable milkshake maker containers and can afford to run each one through a dishwasher your employees are going to wash and disinfect the thing by hand after every drink which is never a garauntee
