BMW X5 Hybrid Cabin air filter Replacement F15 2013-2018

Here you go, itβs on a hybrid but the process is the same for non hybrid.
Those retaining clips are missing on my kick panel. I can't seem to find that exact clip for a 2012 X5. Any idea on a part number?
I believe these are the clips you are talking about. 51-45-939-6-731
It is a kit that comes with a set of three so you only need to buy one set. Price is around $12.00 depending on your location from the dealer.
You can even try ECS tunning they have it for 10.92 but with a $6.00 shipping fee.
Hope this helps!
I wish this was as easy as it looks Iβve been trying to get the plastic piece in for an hour
Step away for 30 minutes or so. Come back and it may just go in.
What is the clip that holds the filter in place? I need a replacement and i haven't been able to find it anywhere
Itβs the cover for the recirculating micro filter. Here is the BMW part number.

Thanks, a liitle tight forπ this old guy but i got it
So how many filters does a 2015 BMW X5 have? I searched online and it said there is 2 filter, I saw a video showing how to change the two under the hood. And now I am seeing another 2 in the interior. I doubt if I watched the wrong one? Can anyone help please?
Your car will have the two filters under the hood. These are the cabin air filters. And inside the cabin under the passenger side footwell area there is a single recirculating air filter. This filter is used when you are using the recirculating air mode on the AC settings.
I have DIY videos posted for replacing all these filters.
Can you only buy the bmw version or can I buy a different brand? Where can I buy??
You donβt need to have the BMW one you can get an aftermarket filter if you click on the description there is an affiliate link to Amazon for an aftermarket filter that will fit.
My x5 08 no filter ??
For the E70 Model The filter will be in the same location but centered instead of off to the right as shown in the video. You will just need to remove an air vent that is blocking access to remove the sliding cover. The air vent is held on by 3 T-20 screws. Once the screws are removed you will need to tug down on the air vent from the left side. That will release the air vent and now you can access the re-circulating air filter.
Hope this helps, Let me know if you need additional guidance.
Thank you.
Your welcome!
