- In this video I talk about Diesel Particle Filter Faults on a BMW X5 E70.
Vehicle had warning on the dash and stored the following fault codes :
480A Diesel Particulate Filter is Heavily contaminated (exhaust back pressure is too high)
481A Diesel Particulate Filter is Heavily contaminated (exhaust back pressure is above the maximum permissible values)
I give information on how you can find and fix this fault.

@@GerardBurkeBurkesGarage and the latest issue is a slight clunking coming from rear diff so thats another job down the road. older x5 can be a full time job to keep going

Hi, How many kilometers should the DPF burn out in this BMW E70 3.0d M57? My x5 e70 35d currently burns out every 200-250km, I drive a lot around the city and the back pressure is very low, I thought there would be more kilometers between regenerations
Does this also get rid of ash deposits from the regen and or additives?

Yep it surely is good stuff. I often use the JLM stuff but its way more expensive. I used that Wurth on my own car and it did the job. Nice Vid mate🙂

Is it safety to use dpf spray by this hose that you used , i am asking because i see that almost workshops says that we should spry inside oxygen sensor ? I want to due like your way but would be forsure first .

I have 520d/2008 N47 and the warning on dash board does not permanent , it comes and back .
i have a diesel and recently had DPF changed as it was too far blocked. How do you know when the car is doing its regen and completed it?
A good scan tool can tell you when it active and how many it's done etc.. packed with info 👌💪
bimmer tool APP
You can see it on the little economy gauge in the revcounter. If it regens you can see the consumption increase.
If you have DPF plugged you have one of 2 main issues with you car
1- short rides/or rides with less than 1/4 tank if fuel
2- you have issue with fuel system or/using bad engine oil with extended oil service and bad diesel

Need help as im stuck in dublin😂, starter seems to be at fault in my VW GOLF, seen the video on the starter relay but if its not the relay is there any other way to bypass the starter, battery is good
