  • Stiff lens slide door In Olympus Mju Zoom
This camera is actually emty, because I have found
it in the waste bin, but the sliding door was still
working even if it was a bit stiff. So hopefully you
can use the info in this video.
I use Isopropylalcohol 99% to make the cleaning, and to lubricate the 2 steele balls and the sliding gabs I use, "Liqui-Moly" LM47 MoS2 grease with Molybdenum disulfide.
Here are some link's to different repair tool's and lubricating stuff:
    "ORBIT" HEPA Blower:

    You can buy it here:

Or this set, that is the set I use:

Japan Hobby Tool Herical Grease Made in Japan:

    Loctite 222 50ml Threadlocker

And you will also need some Isopropylalcohol 99%
And sometimes Lighter Fluid that is very good to clean lens element's.
NOTE: Do NOT! use Acetone on platic part's, it will damage / melting the plastic!!!

Thank you so much for this video!! My camera had been in the shop for a year, they kept telling me they were looking for the parts to fix it but couldn't. I finally get it back and they tell me its unfixable. Well, I just fixed it MYSELF and it works exactly how it should!!! Thank you so much!!!

Thank you for making these videos. I love film cameras and I try to restore them myself, just don’t have the skill and knowledge you do.

Superb video! when I noticed that the sliding door on my camera didnt feel like it was sliding any good I was very cautious of how I would go about to solve the issue. But now after watching your video I am much more confident and think I am capable of solving this without any trouble :)

Good info! I've always wondered how the sliding door can be removed to maintain the sliding mechanism.
    Cheers for sharing.👍
I've had several mju models but my patest is the mju zoom 105.
    Great little cameras.

Thanks for this video! Is there a particular grease you recommend? I used a lubricant in the grooves but it didn’t help much, I think a more gel-like grease will make it smoother.

Thank you for this Video! Now I know why my lens barrier isn’t working anymore. I lost the two little springs with the two balls. Is there any chance I can find them anywhere and replace them ???

The metal ballls & springs ar easy to find. Just google 2 mm stainless steel balls and same for the springs
