      You are buying DUMB advice. Even if meat wasn't terrible for folks, where ya gonna buy real meat?? Meaning non commercial grown?

    I take 100 mgs of the first three types of magnesium you mentioned - magnesium citrate, magnesium malate and magnesium glycinate as well as 100 mgs of magnesium L- Theronate - a total of 400 mgs and it checks all the boxes - digestive, muscle, nervous system and brain.

    Regarding the dosage: do you recommend 200mg of elemental magnesium (i.e. a total of approx. 1.4g of magnesium glycinate) or 200mg magnesium glycinate for sleep? Can taking 200mg of elemental magnesium at once not also lead to side effects such as diarrhea etc.? On magnesium supplements there are always two statements about this, which is very confusing.

    Never knew that fiber was a binder of magnesium! I read somewhere long ago that beta blockers do that as well. Is this true?

    Would you recommend an RBC blood test? I found a site that offers one you can order and take yourself. I'm trying to lower my BP.

      My functional medicine doctor recommends RBC magnesium testing to determine mag levels. Also see Dr Carolyn Dean research in the book the Magnesium Miracle, she recommends the RBC test

      RBC by itself isn't that accurate it needs to also be looked at with serum and urinary Mf levels. RBC is really a transporter of magnesium not a reflection of total body magnesium status.
