I always thought Bobby hurcherson played beautiful music, and maiden voyage is such a song. This bands not bad too . A late find bravo. I'm adding this is best version I have ever heard , I listen daily now cos it's astonishing I'm flabbergasted
So many versions of MV out there, including by Herbie. This solo of his on this particular take is unbelievable. In and out and all over the melody seamlessly. Gorgeous
and Herbie played classical music at a young age, with orchestras, and does Nicheren Buddhism from Japan, maybe here in Japan with Bobby, there was an extra depth
