I've decided this is my favorite song of all time.
I instantly go on a nostalgia trip about World of Warcraft whenever I listen to Sum 41 or the Offspring. I just can't help it. Even though I barely spoke English 10 years ago, my mind just drifts to the good old times when I listen to this gold in music form.
This is the band through which I started to listen to music seriously when I was a kid, all thanks to AMV Bleach. Now I've remembered about them when I'm grown-up and damn, they sound just as good as they used to be.
When I was 15 or 16 Sum 41 were all over the radio and top of the pops in 2001-2003
i haven't words to explain this song, really :D ... i can say only WOW ! lyrics , melody, rhythm ... everything is PERFECT !!!! clearly the best bend !

This song isn't just a song. I have an emotional connection with this song. This was the very song that turned me from a huuuuge chav, into somebody who loves awesome music :)
I remember when everyone in their teens listened to this stuff and others like Blink or Offspring. Now we can't listen to the shit that airs on the radio. No matter what they do with their autotunes and sampled guitars they just can't carry the pure energy.

Honestly, there is plenty of good stuff out there. You're problem is that they don't make commercial about it and track you down to tell you about it. We live in an age where you are perfectly capable of finding what you want to hear if you actually look. I've been a fan of Sum 41 for, no more than five years. I heard "Fat Lip" in a video, looked it up, liked it. Listened to more by the band, liked it. Now I'm a fan.

+Luís Fernando R.P de Almeida Your point is well taken, but Sum 41 is undisputedly pop punk. When I think hardcore I think of bands like Youth of Today, Trapped Under Ice, Chain of Strength, etc. There is nothing wrong with being a pop punk band. Sum 41 just had a more aggressive sound than Blink.

32 People have different taste in Music, and I'm okay with that.
I find it strange that so many people go to video's to talk about how the band is the best. I personally like a wide variety of bands, Sum 41 is one of the better ones, and I doubt they want us fighting over them like this. Just enjoy this music, and enjoy other music too. Even if they're not the best, that doesn't mean they're bad. I don't have a favorite band, but it depresses me to see this stuff on every video.

I never ever said it's just for middle schoolers. &no not all 'older' people listen to music about weed. your swimming in a small pond here, there are so many great genres to be explored: art rock, avant garde, synth pop, thrash metal, hardcore punk, post-punk, art punk, psychedelic rock, experimental hip hop, noise rock and hell, even indie rock.
