@@richarddavis5542 Saw them in Oslo Norway couple of weeks ago. I missed David, even told the new singer that. But we both agreed that it would been great to have heard David live. The new singer does a good job, and the band has a lot to offer separate from the vocal. The concert was super! BBT is in the super league in the prog world of music!
I swear, I've watched pretty much every live video they've done, and they're ALL wayyyyy better than the studio versions. It's not even close. The studio recordings aren't anywhere near when it comes to capturing the energy and communication between the band members. Something magic happens when these guys play live.
I think we should use another word - "art", not "progressive"... RIP, David. You were the voice, the face and the soul of BBT. You stopped at your last station...
I have really grown over the months to appreciate the artistry of BBT - with Porcupine Tree / STEVEN WILSON - really the best in modern day prog. BETWEEN THE LINES is an absorbing book on the long gestation and setbacks this brilliant band have undergone.
They really know how to build and layer a tune! Such a shame to lose Rachel - she should have have been featured more - but solos almost always to guitar!

I was lucky enough to be at the Hackney Empire on this night, this song completely blew me away. RiP David.
You know when a band is brilliant when they live version is actually BETTER than the Studio version, such a masterpiece!
