Amsterdam is arguably one of the best airports for our hobby! Super cool locations, good food and a lot of variety in terms of traffic! A super lovely airport, for sure! During the last years, especially last year, we could see a lot of different airlines and planes.
Qatar Cargo 747-8F A7-BGA:
Qatar Cargo received this particular airframe in 2013! In January 2024, A7-BGA was sold to the US cargo carrier UPS, which is going to operate MSN 37564 in the near future. The future registration is going to be N634UP. The sister of A7-BGA, another Boeing 747-8F, registered A7-BGB, will also follow UPS. With that, Qatar Cargo completely retired its 747-8F cargo fleet and will now entirely focus on their 777-F fleet.
Surinam Airways A340-300 PZ-TCW:
MSN 921 started its career back in 2008 for Finnair. Being painted in the beatiful Marimekko Unikko Livery, the A340 flew for Finnair for almost 10 years. After these 10 years the A340 was also flying for Air Belgium. It was supposed to fly for the Romania based Legend Airlines, but it never entered service for this company. Then, in March 2023 the A340 was paionted into to colors of Surinam Airways. From there on the A340 flew the regular route from Paramaribo to Amsterdam. The A340 was named Pride of Surinam, and flew with Surinam Airways for a little over 12 months. In April the A340 flew to Fujairah. Being listed as stored, the future of this airframe will become unknown again.

Finnair 22:17 use A350 regularly to AMS this summer season
As always, hugely impressed by the perfectly-framed and rock-steady videos! How do you do it!? You must have great cameras and tripods, but perhaps also thorough editing? 👍👍
Obviously through software. You can often see the artifacts when the camera was too shaky.
Your views would be better if you used the zoom button to zoom out and keep the entire plane in view.
Spectacular as always sir. However, it is quite interesting to know that KLM aeroplanes are named after flowers.
Only the 787s. Each type has its own category.
Which is better at transporting VIPs over long distances? C-130 or LL76. I know they are military cargo planes, but which is better and why?
