If you really want to win ladder as an ftp, just use butterfree and max it out until 6 stars. Although im not ftp player and im just rank 68, butterfree is the reason why i’m at 3000 points in ladder and can fight lvl 80 players. its applicable for ftp players. Just farm a lot of metapods and butterfree for star upgrade.

@@Pondo199x no need for shiny pokemon. They have the same stats with regular pokemon. But yes, you can farm shiny by using shiny potions.
@@Pondo199x quiver dance sleep powder bug buzz air slash. Spam sleep powder and quiver dance until +6 then you can one shot anything.
