- We take a look at "Uncle" Robin Lawrence's awesome 2012 Mustang Cobra Jet that he runs "all-engine" with a 5-speed transmission into the low 10s. It uses a stock throttle body and intake from a 2012 GT, stock heads and cam lift and has been 10.1 in the quarter-mile.
Mustangs will always be my favorite muscle car.
3 pedals and a hand box. Can't be beat. SOUNDS AWESOME.
Great to see Uncle Robin back in a Ford! Loved watching him and Justin Burcham battle back in Factory Stock class!
This man has been living the dream….. what a great guy!
I agree!
Bean watching Uncle Robin for years! One of the best!
Nice to see Robin Williams still in the race game from way back and still today he is a champ and a pioneer in the mustang game kudo. Thanks Evan great to see the old racer you’ve met year pass.👍💪👏😎🇨🇦
Nice to see Holley EFi has goodwill ambassadors out in the field. Even better...the Car Gets Air off the line.
I met Robin at National Trail Raceway in Ohio last summer. I had simply stopped to check out his car and snap a few pics and he came over and spoke to me. Very nice gentleman and I too love that color combo on his car.
Cool CJ, seems pretty similar to a Coyote Stock build. REALLY wish they would lettem' get an intake change, that would open up the RPM quite a bit!
Hey Evan, just gotta get the right clutch for radials! There's guys doing it with a clutch alone(I think Cleetus runs a BlackMagic in 'Leroy'), but clutch controllers like the ClutchTamer go a long way to making radials work a lot better with a stick. You can set them up to dead hook out of the hole without driving through the clutch or bogging, just takes some tuning work like always.
Since you're into stick drag racing quite a bit, doing something with a ClutchTamer might make for some good content, it's just too affordable and too effective, great product!
I'm loving these videos lately. Giving me the itch
Hey, I know that Old Man!! Lol! Great work Robin. Beautiful car, brother!
This was packed with great information. I love learning the rules and specifications of a class. Need more of these videos
Thanks BA.
I love coyote content! This was a super cool video.
Good to see he's still a major player in the game!
GREAT INTERVIEW. LOVE THAT GEAR BOX AND SHIFTER SET UP.
Vertical gate shifter...cool, 8,500rpm STOCKER...VERY COOL !!
What a way to wake up on a Sunday. Awesome vid, wicked car, awesome racer. Love the stock eliminator stuff Evan. Keep it coming 👍👍
Thanks!
Last I knew Robin left the Ford world with Jamie Myer. Good to see he left 😁
It’s good to get to the drag racing time of year.
Beautiful machine

Awesome job and story! Good too “see” you Robin!
Uncle Robin is the MAN... very cool
Awesome. Sounds so good NA.
Great video.. people don't understand the hard work and dedication it takes to run Stock Eliminator! Evan do you plan to race yours again?
Thanks, yes, hope in a year or two.
Great video
That is one fine ride. Body in white. Kind of a nice advantage there.
I had the opportunity to drive a 2015 GT-500 in Stock, a few years ago. Great cars. Love this one. Nice interview.
Awesome Stang
Great job with the design! Your team hit it out of the park! Always informative for dummy's like me. Thanks!
That was great great video Evan.. It’s nice to see guys that work selling parts out racing… And that’s one beautiful car
Awsome car
Good stuff
Great interview.
Awesome car!! 💪🏾
2 Mustang Legends. Where's Tim Lynch? Lol
Thank you John.
@@revanevan Project Coyote Stocker??
Man the things I'd do to get this setup in my truck...
Awesome!
Ive been told that beadlocks are heavy and not always needed with 486whp. Maybe swap on a set of the lightest weight wheels/ tires during your next test n tune to see if you pick up any ET.
gotta keep that wheel straight, when shes up.
Car started going left on every pass at that event. Looking into shock data and anti roll bar settings.
Great vid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks
@@revanevan 👍
Great car would love to know the weight? Uncle Robin has been in the Ford game a long time!
He states the weight in the video. I forget the number.
I believe it was 3,358. He said he was 100 lbs over the weight requirement of 3,258
@@jamiecalder5459 Yessir, at Bradenton the scales read heavy that weekend. Normal setup 3330 was showing 3350 on their scales. Gainesville it was 3330.
Looks like he got rid of the VCT system on there too.
Mad Mod!
Take that demon stock 5.0
😍😍😍
What was done to the engine to make 550 crank hp with all the stock heads and intake parts?
What record is he holding?
Sticks are cool, but no way is this gonna beat a sequential th400.
Literally a stock bottom end gen 1 with ported heads and stage 3 cams makes 540 on e85
So guys don’t waste your money like this guy
Yeah 553 HP easy simple tune and setup and you run 10.1 that is a win. I tell people you do not need 1000 HP blah blah man. Same with the CRX it runs 11.5 and with just 250HP Plus and its a banger this gen today with that 0-60 in 1 second bullshit. I have said it before ill say it again keep it simple stupid.
Sounds like it could use a heavier flywheel
It would depend, I can raise the launch RPM but then the clutch takes longer to lock up. If I launch too high on a marginal track it could spin. That setup has been consistent on most all conditions.
That car is bad!!!
