You looked right at home in no time. Plenty of Gucci features for the money. Not sure whether I'd plump for the red or the white version. Only ever see white ones around here. Love the feeling that 19 gives on the front. It's one of the things that I like most about my Desert Sled. So which colour did you say you've ordered then? 😉
@@CodgerBiker Only ever tried one bike with that option. The S1000R. I had it set in 'road' for the whole ride though, so couldn't give you an honest opinion. Good looking bike that Africa Twin (for a Honda) 😉😂
you mention bar raisers on the NT are you going to do a vid of them as I tried fitting them to mine and found the front brake hose was to short even for 25mm raisers
Yes there will be a video next week. I fitted 20mm, by Puig, from Pyramid Plastics. Good value, and fit, just, on my manual bike. I've seen others with 30mm, but they seem to have to uncouple front brake lines. I'd not be comfortable with that. Others re-route clutch cable. But 20mm went in fine. Not a massive difference. But helpful as I am recovering from an injury. 👍
Lovely bikes, I've always found the styling of the AT quite appealing too - they look awesome ..... for me though, the NT1100 is a better fit - I've no intention of taking any 200Kg+ bike offroad, the AT is taller and more top heavy than the NT and the wind and weather protection isn't as good as on the NT ... and the AT (this ASES version anyway) is considerably more expensive. Maybe in future my requirements will change and the AT will fit the bill better ... but for now it's fully road biased sibling is where I want to be.
Weather protection on NT1100 is excellent I agree. I was surprised how manageable the new Africa Twin, with 19" front wheel is, having owned an older model. But it's really more about the looks I think. Underneath the basics are the same. 👍👍
@@CodgerBiker Have to say that fancy electronic suspension that lowers itself when the bike comes to a stop sounds bloody great, I can see that being a heavily used feature by all but the lankiest of riders. That would be an option I'd be willing to cough up a couple of extra grand for 😉
It's not like the 1300 GS, that drops the bike, it's more you can soften it, as required. Never thought it'd be something I'd ever need. But I am converted. Shame about the price. I'd still be concerned about longevity. 👍
@@CodgerBiker Ahhhh ok, I see ... thats a bit of a shame. The self lowering stuff looks properly useful. Thanks for the info and the cracking video ... very helpful and informative 😁
Nice review mate :)
Cheers, appreciated! 👍
Mmmm Very interesting ... May have to get myself a test ride sorted.😀
Don't take a cheque book! 😂👍

I like the white one. But it ain't happening. Never did I feel more part of a bike though. Very impressed by the ES. 👍👍
