I was at Intel when this was filmed and air back in the day. Wow I even recognize some of the faces in the cafeteria. These cubicles look like a different world now--not sure what Intel has changed to now but I have switched to a software company in 2014 and it's been open office space for me ever since. Equally depressing. The no individuality part is also the same across tech , software or hardware.
That sucks. I think there'd be more creativity and innovation if everybody could express themselves. Plus, if it wasn't so serious there than people would have a nicer job (I think). How are the bosses at tech companies? I really love all the funny teachers I've had because everybody always laughs and still wants to learn. @@ultraaatf Aw man, for real? I hope that there are nice tech companies, though. There must be so many tech companies that a few are nice (other than the famous companies).
Open office space is even worse than cubicles. At least with cubicles you can visually tune coworkers out, and maybe have a figurine or cute picture to make it feel slightly more custom. Open office space is just SO distracting and I'll be glad when that corporate trend finally dies down.

This was filmed in 2009 when Intel was still on top of their game. @@bendejo8 oof my bad. @@helicocktor Intel innovated up until they released sandy bridge. After that it was the same products every generation and the only thing changing was the price. Thankfully AMD has finally made Intel wake up and start doing something.
Thats why he got into Harvard because This is a perfect example of logical vs creative/ critical thinking ... conan really put that guy in his place with his quick creative repartees ... Einstein was right when he said -"logic takes you from A to B but imagination takes you everywhere"............
Apply that logic to a company trying to do the next big thing with what they got and the former part of that quote makes a lot of sense. Honestly, without A to B thinking do you think "everywhere" is even possible given the laws of physics the human race knows about? Imagine it: Person 1 says, "Dudes, imagine all the things we could do!" and Person 2 says, "I can. But how do we get there?" Person 1 says, "I don't know. Be creative!" and Person 2 says, "Let me think on that." Stupidity is thinking that there is only one way or answer to questions that one doesn't even know to ask yet.

I think a funny boss would be a lot better than a scary or serious boss, because they could cheer everybody up and just be nice to everybody.
@@ultraaatf Aw man, for real? I hope that there are nice tech companies, though. There must be so many tech companies that a few are nice (other than the famous companies).
* laughs in my employer allows me to ssh into the raspberrypi I keep on my desk at work *
Honestly, I think I would prefer cubicles to open space. At least you have some privacy. And it's easier to focus
Open office space is even worse than cubicles. At least with cubicles you can visually tune coworkers out, and maybe have a figurine or cute picture to make it feel slightly more custom. Open office space is just SO distracting and I'll be glad when that corporate trend finally dies down.
"This is the Intel cafeteria, a giant room, filled with the biggest nerds in the country" 😆💀😆💀😆💀 bruh
When he visits places, it’s the best 🤣
Awesome tracks dude!
I'd love someday for more Conan w/o borders or whatever it is called
Imagine working at a company like intel, you’re doing paper work minding your own business on a random Wednesday afternoon in B10 and Conan just walks behind you...you think to yourself no way that’s real I must be hallucinating, I’ve been working here for too long
I can't get over how good Conan is good lord. Competition is no where close to this guy

Linus, a big tech nerd: “Intel is one of the most highly secure places on earth, i would trade my left arm if they let me tour that place”
Conan, a non tech-involved cool guy: Simply enters Intel
To be fair I do not think they let Conan near the actual place where they are making the chips. He just hanged out in the hallways and the quality testing place, away from the machines.
TheDouser still, further than what linus managed to do
Well, Conan was paid by Intel. He pretty much states this as well in the first 60 seconds of this video.
linus can start visiting the intel museum on his own and not bring Anthony
And Still they got hacked few days ago 😂
"this kid needs counseling" lol 😂😂
"Intel is the leading chip manufacturer in innovation"
Lololololololol, rip intel
This was filmed in 2009 when Intel was still on top of their game. For reference that's the year Intel made the move to 32nm fabrication, while AMD was still setting up their 45nm design and production. It was also the first time they introduced Integrated Graphics. Props to AMD for coming a long way in just a decade though.
They still were in 2020.
@@helicocktor (Original airdate: 5/4/07) A couple years off, but yeah...
AMD was probably one of the best investments I've made
@@bendejo8 oof my bad. Regardless, imo Intel gets a lot of hate for not innovating the past decade, when they've been pretty much the sole innovator for decades leading up to mobile ARM chips revolution. It's great for us consumers when competition is this healthy. I hope AMD gets to drive down prices further.
@@helicocktor Intel innovated up until they released sandy bridge. After that it was the same products every generation and the only thing changing was the price. Thankfully AMD has finally made Intel wake up and start doing something.
Why does intel headquarters look like a Metal Gear Solid map
Because the Konami offices look just as lifeless as Intel's.
5:19 *Snake demonstrates his CQC* 😂😂😂😂😂
Another masterpiece. He should be the G.O.A.T of modern comedian Era . Not that anyone is in the challenge so he pretty much is
Thats why he got into Harvard because This is a perfect example of logical vs creative/ critical thinking ... conan really put that guy in his place with his quick creative repartees ...

Don’t forget the writers
Conan spreads joy everywhere he goes!
My father used to work at Intel and when he would bring me there ,I would entertain myself by stealing as my many pencils and pens as I could and following the floor patterns to random locations until I got lost and cry and then someone would bring me back to him.
Super fun place.
Conan will get their 7nm process going.
i don't think so LOL

Is it just me or was that a very strange handshake lol... instead of going up and down they shook in like a sideways oval😂😂
😂 i was looking for this comment
This guy was so lifeless even his handshake was as unenthusiastic as humanly possible
Conan is such a nice guy--and he is so kid-friendly when need be! I'm amazed.
Those cubicles are the worst, no wonder they are still on 14nm±+++++++++++++
meanwhile on amd:
That's probably why Jim Keller left.
They would still be shoving overpriced dual and quad cores up our asses if not for AMD .
Intel are still the ones laughing to the bank. AMD is a small company in comparison. And if anything, Samsung will be the ones to smite both of them down as they're already beating both of them massively.
