Man there were so many great moments on Conan from 2000-2009 that are not on RUclips. The show was on fire back then, almost every episode had a "viral" quality skit like this that will be forgotten. I hope one day they will release FULL episodes from that era.

This was filmed in 2015. The chicken taco Janelle was eating is an iteration of the Crispy Chicken Sandwich Taco that was only just introduced in 2021. A taco bell specialty 6 years in the making.

@@jow265 I am pretty sure in his personal life he is pretty normal. Still a fun guy with nice ideas but not like in the show. Most entertainers and comedians are just normal guys at home. Many of them are even pretty introverted when not on stage. I think you should not judge by what you see on TV. We just can't know how those people really are unless we get to know them personally.

I mean to me he is just genuinely one of the funnier hosts, a lot of the rest come off unauthentic and it shows
Conan is funny in the studio, but these skits where he investigates his office staff are 10/10. His physical comedy, deadpan delivery, and calling out others' quirks is truly hilarious.
These Conan skits will become mainstream popular again in 5-10 years. They are always so fun to watch every now and again.
Conan should do remotes more often! They're all gold and show him at his very best..when he just improvises

They are usually not fully scripted as far as I know. Maybe not even half scripted. Conan said it himself that he realized his staff is quite funny and entertaining everyday so he might as well film them

I guarantee Conan isn't like this to regular women he meets. This is him 100% playing to an audience, being cringe for the lulz. Without the cameras, it's just creepy, and he knows it, and that's what he's playing off of.
Even then, the other 2 ladies seemed kind of unsure how to react most of the time. I think that's probably why Conan went really over the top with most of this. You'd think the marketing manager and "innovation chef" of a company like Taco Bell would both have big personalities like Conan, but not these ladies. He had to really go over the top just to save this bit. And he did it.

Update: been going through a really tough time in terms of an abusive ex spouse and custody issues, and again I come back to RUclips and type the words Conan and Taco Bell and I know this is silly, but it’s always here for me It brings joy at a time when, Joy doesn’t seem to be possible. What I love about Conan - especially this piece is that it’s not mean spirited or cynical. When you think about the subject, so many comedians couldn’t help themselves to resort to cruelty. So I’m sure you hear this a lot from fans and I doubt you’ll read this, But sometimes you feel like you’re stuck and for me laughter is the best medicine… this amazing free gift is easily accessible for me and I have a note on my phone that just says Conan and Taco Bell - The subject line reads “whenever you feel hopeless”. I can’t begin to express my gratitude for this video and particular as it has saved my life on at least two occasions. It’s a reminder that laughter certainly is the best medicine but only if it’s done with kindness and love.

You can see why The Simpsons was so damn good while he was there. The man is a master of timing and off the cuff responses.
That was definitely not Conan leading that writers room, and by his own admission. His longform interview on this channel with his fellow Simpsons writers from his era is fantastic, and really highlights the talents of writers that are lesser known than Conan, but as impactful on our pop culture as he is.

I've had seizures in the past and I can laugh at this because he's not making a joke of seizures he's just making a joke of the moment how it's just incredibly beautiful to eat that it causes you uncontrollable body movements it's okay to laugh at this even if having a real seizure is a big deal it's not a real seizure and it's not done to be offensive or hurtful it's just done for laughs and I find it funny
