We were there in 2017... my wife's favorite place. We toured the old streets of Valdez and watch the eagles flying over the bay. At night the ships are lit up and it was a beautiful sight. We also stayed at the Bear Paw campground in town and as I recall there were wild rabbits running all around town. We drove up to Valdez Glazier and took our kayak out to put our hands on a glazier! Loved it. I'm hoping to go back soon, thanks for the review! Looking forward to your next video!

Thanks very much Owen, sounds like you guys liked Valdez as much as us. And yes, the wild rabbits are still everywhere! 😉

Hello from Merrickville, not too far from Perth (our son plays for the Perth Blue Wings hockey team). We are planning our trip to the Yukon and Alaska this summer with our Golden Retriever. Your videos are very helpful! Great job!

I'm really enjoying these videos. Great job! I've only been to Alaska once by cruise ship and really enjoyed our ports of call day trips in Seward, Ketchikan and Fairbanks. I can't wait to return by R.V. via the Alaska Hwy. We have a 29' class C motorhome with 2 E-bikes on the front and a Toyota Yaris on a car dolly on the back. Cheers from the Okanagan Valley B.C. Looking forward to the next video!

I guess it would not be accurate to say your videos are going to the dogs, but this one kind of was. That looked to be a very special activity without any doubt. I am really enjoying your Alaska series... As always safe travels.

Thanks so much Shawn. Many Alaskan travelers don’t make the trip to Valdez but we can’t recommend it enough- loved it there and the glacier/ wildlife cruise was spectacular.

Thank you Andrea, we really appreciate the kind feedback. Our channel is new but we will be doing some videos this summer from Ontario and, if all goes to plan, we will do another full series in 2024 from Newfoundland.

Great videos and info! We are headed up there this summer in our camper van, with our dog Sherlock. So, you felt comfortable leaving Ranger in your camper while out on this tour? I think Sherlock would do fine also. Wondering if you investigated doggie day care or just someone to walk dogs while you're out all day?

Thanks very much Kim. We knew the cruise would be 7+ hours so we figured wed likely be gone a total 8.5-9 hrs. We knew the weather that day wasnt going to be hot but we left the AC on just in case the trailer did warm up, it would kick on. Before we retired Ranger was use to being left for 8 hours while we worked so we were pretty sure hed be ok. We left extra of water and his toys and he was absolutely fine. Of course every dog is different but for us we did not look into doggy daycare, but it might be a great idea for some! We hope you have an amazing trip!!

Love all your advice. Following every bit. Hoping you can tell me how long did you stay in Valdez and what month and time of the month you were there? Hoping to go at the same time. Give Ranger a good pat for me I am a sheltie lover. He is a cutie. Crystal
