He is blessed to have such a great neighbor and so are you!
Only thing that surprises me is that it took this long for him to ask u for help! Cant wait to see it🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
Recently Found your channel online. Good to see the season prep work as the season starts to begin as it starts to wind down here in Australia. Keep up the quality content and quality cuts.
What a great project! I’m excited to watch you do your magic on that lawn!
And hes back!!!! Can't wait to see more videos
Rick’s lawn looks like mine every spring. But my moss issue is 4000sqft. Took 1500lbs to the dump this year but it’s done, pre-emergent is down, and today got some fertilizer down (Wilco triple 16). This is the year man… going to get that turf so thiccccc no moss can get in.
You're a great neighbor. I can't wait to see how this "hot mess" lawn turns out now that you're providing some assistance.
It's gonna be so good! The next time he has a party I want his guest to say his lawn is better than mine 😂🤙🏾
You are the man!!! Love this channel,YOU SAVAGE
Thank you for the support my dude ☺️🙏🏾🤙🏾
He owes you big time!!! Looks like it needed it!!!
Just a friendly thing to do for a super friendly neighbor ☺️🤙🏾
The perfect lawn for a makeover!!👏
It's gonna be soooooo good! 😊🤙🏾
Your a good man. Keep up the great work
Can't wait for the edge up! At least 8in of sidewalk overgrowth. Geat work Brah
Thank you my friend! Yes edging video is on the way 😉🤙🏾
I have the same edger, love it
Going to be epic, I just wanna see those egdes cleaned up!
Coming right up my friend 😉🤙🏾
Wow.. his grass is finally breathing 😮😮
Breathing harder than I am in the video 😂🤙🏾
@@YardBrah 🤣. Yeah I saw that
Woooooosaaaaaaaaa
I want that Dethatcher today
Yeah I might be doing my neighbors yard too
Holy satisfaction
It was super fun for sure! ☺️🙏🏾🤙🏾
Wow bro looking good from your fan from Alberta Canada
Thank you my friend ☺️🙏🏾🤙🏾
he said "ruts", everybody else see's the grand canyon! lol
Dude great job! You are approaching GOAT status. Stepping it up with sone drone action. Keep pushing out the content. On a side note can liquid prodamine be mixed with other bio stims ie RGS, Air8, Iron and Green Envy? Looking to save time for my 2nd app of prodiamine in April/May.
Washington state represent! Near Everett here. Very similar housing and yard size. When I saw the Rhodies and the moss I’m like this has got to be a PNW lawn 😂😂.
I got bent grass and moss for days. I just sprayed Moss Out and Tenacity. Then I’m gonna mow and just got a Wen dethatcher / cutter.
What seed do you roll with? I’m thinking about straight perrenjal rye in the front (front yard faces south east) and then maybe some fescues (fine and turf type) in the back yard on top of the rye. It’s got crazy shady and some moderately sunny spots.
How low should I detach for the first time? We have lots of moss. And do I use a Scarifier?
Look forward to the edging video on this. Nice work 👍
Great work! Use baking soda on that moss, it kills it instantly and it’s cheap!
Love your content btw
Thank you so much for the support ☺️🙏🏾🤙🏾
Um, I’m excited you got started, but disappointed you didn’t use the spring with Troy…….
That would have gotten EVERYTHING
Anyway, thanks for bringing us along!
🤙🏻👊🏻👍🏻🔥
Didn't you hear... we gotta do it again 😉😂🤙🏾
@@YardBrah oh no, I heard, just trying to make sure you use “every” tool in the shed! 😂😉
@@NicolasMoore838 😂 It's right on the shelf ready to roll for the next round 😉☺🙏🏾🤙🏾
Tek it easy!
I would be throwing all that crap into my compost pile and turning it into black gold and then putting it back into the lawn soil
Why took u this long to do this !!!!!! Been watching for long time and it bothered me every time I watched 👍👍👍👍😂
In Washington when do you reccomend to overseer the lawn? Dethatching and demossing lawn on this beautiful Saturday here in Tacoma!
*overseed
Usually I do Middle of April to End of April So that the 2nd or 3rd week of May you are already mowing the seedlings and applying products to help it thrive in all the summer heat! Yes I'm about to get out to the lawn myself it's sooooo nice! Have fun out there! ☺️🤙🏾🙏🏾
I’m just south of you in Steilacoom - I’m using the next couple of weeks to get my soil right and doing some leveling. Seed is going down first or second weekend in April. 👌
I need to get me one of those battery dethachers fr
A lot more convenient than corded for sure! I did this section which was filled with material and the battery still had 70% left 😳 😂🤙🏾
Yards look totally different
Must be nice 15cm of snow here still 😢
You might to spread your mower and dethatcher so no seeds transfer.
do you prefer the cordless detatchers or corded ones more? I got a corded one, but I have a larger lawn and the cord is such a hassle.
100% Cordless! The corded one I had for years and loved it but it was a hassle for projects... I dreaded it actually... but now that I have the cordless it's a game changer.... grab some extra 6ah SNOWJOE batteries they are a lot cheaper... I never run out of juice I think it was like 2900 sqft with 10ah batteries total then it died so the extra 6ah will help if you break down in the middle of a sesh ☺️🤙🏾
Thatch Mountain
Just curious, what height were you using on your Sun Joe? The grass isn’t quite growing here is Wisconsin, but it’s getting close. I usually do a pass on the highest setting after the first mow to clean things up.
I was at the highest setting on his lawn anything lower for the initial dethatching it wouldn't move forward 😂🤙🏾
Hey Captain Save-A-Bro, I can’t decide between which Amik aerator to get. The old one or new one. Also, about to send you the plan of “The Process” for my front yard.
Yup def wanna see your plan my friend! Also I got the new dual disc with the thicker tines it's so bad ass at removing cores!!! I have a video coming up you'll see it pulled out so many! ☺️🤙🏾
@@YardBrah I broke down and got the dual disc. Now I have buyers remorse. 😂 Still snowing here so waiting a bit until the lawn renovation.
Bro I need one of those edges
The McLane is ok.... I like the EGO attachment better though so much easier and a lot more quiet 😂🤙🏾
@@YardBrah 🤣🤣🤣
@@YardBrah when you done with it I buy from you
Got Dayam! I’d love to have you as a neighbor.
I noticed some moss in my backyard today and on the side of the house what u suggest bro for it ? Am in Connecticut n its been in tbe 50’s the last few days
Dethatch the area to get rid of the moss and hit it with moss out then continue on a liquid iron regimen ☺️🤙🏾
I can't wait to see how that turns out and really think you need some affiliate links. I bought the Greenworks dethatcher / scarifier and gonna start following what you put down. Was wondering if i should dethatch then scarify before i put down the tenacity or just scarify. Also, how deep would you go if it's never been done before
Thank you for the support you can click on any amazon link in the description and whatever you end up buying even if it's something different from the link I will get credit 😊🙏🏾
This is just how I do it:
If you have never dethatched ever test out the highest setting first... in this video it's at the highest setting cause there was so much material
For an overseed project I always mow low, dethatch, core aerate, soil/compost/sand THEN I add tenacity then seed then Fert rake it in then peat moss then water
If you're not overseeding add tenacity first then dethatch after 2 weeks when the product has done it's job ☺️🤙🏾
@@YardBrah
When overseeding can you seed at the same time you add tenacity?
Need more vid time, 10mins ain’t enough
😂 I appreciate you my friend ☺️🙏🏾🤙🏾
Is this called a scarifier?
What kind of camera are you using for this video? Picture is phenomenal!!!
Nice! It's my iPhone 15 pro max! I'm usually on my canon r8 but the files are so damn big for daily content... the 15 pro max is so much more manageable with work flow ☺️🤙🏾
So, is power raking and dethatching the same thing? My lawn guy wants to power-rake my lawn. I have KBG and Tall Fescue Grass (cool season). It's still too cold here to do a soil test, which I'm sure I need to find out what's going on in my lawn. Every spring, the grass looks great, but by the middle of June, it starts to turn brown. I fertilized the grass and also purchased some products from companies over RUclips. I can't keep wasting money. Your thoughts, please?
Yes your lawn guy will do the same thing in this video I am power raking. Also you need to water more going into June. Get on a daily watering schedule where you separate your normal watering time into 50% 4am - 6am then 25% of your normal water time 12pm then the other 25% of your normal water time around 4pm Summer time is all about water. Summer products to purchase and what I use to keep the grass green

Still too cold where I live. So very sad
Sending warm weather energy to you my dude! ☺️🙏🏾🤙🏾🌞🌤️☀️🔥
Should I de thatch my dormid grass?
It depends on what grass you have? What do you have and where are you from? 😊🤙🏾
Loving this content! Newbie here with a lawn that's not exactly this bad...but could use some loving! What are your rough steps for this lawn?
NOT THE WII LOUNGE MUSIC!!!
Damn song is stuck in my head so I just put it in videos 😂🤙🏾
Still trying to join membership but link does not work 🤷🏻♀️
Thank you Caroline! Maybe try a different phone or computer? Sometimes that helps! Thank you so much for the continued support! BTW how's your lawn looking!?! ☺️🤙🏾
Thatch isn't green.
Yards like 1/20thof mine😢
yo
Yessir! ☺️🙏🏾🤙🏾
more moss than Randy
What about them edges…..
Check out the next video after this one ☺️🤙🏾
Tell us the truth... you just got sick of seeing such misery so close to your lawn.
Nice video, but please stop chewing something that close to the mic. Had to turn off the sound…
🫣😅
It’s been proven 100% that thatching in the spring is the worst thing you can do to your lawn, especially if you’ve over seeded in the fall. You are now tearing up all the new growth. I don’t get why guys do this. Rookie mistakes.
Been doing it for 5 years... best rookie mistake I ever made 😂
Finally seeing the dark side, looks like a lot of moss? 😮
😂 My lawn was just a bad when I first started the channel... actually worse... way worse! 😂🤙🏾
