Locations in the Poznań and Wolsztyn area (Poland PKP) on 17-19 March 1997
Over the 3 day visit to Poland other locations were visited. In this film Strykowo on the Poznań to Wolsztyn route was briefly called at and Grodzisk WLKP, where a freight train was being formed to head back to Wolsztyn. Opalenica a station on the line to Zbaszynek from Poznań was visited in the late afternoon to see some AC Electric Classes, very similar to the BR Class 83. Nearer to the end of our Poland visit Lubon k Poznania just to the south of Poznań on the Leszno line was called upon for a final look at the PKP in normal every day service. Freight and Passenger trains are seen at most of the locations, with Steam, Diesel and Electric traction.
I really hope you enjoy this time capsule that we were so fortunate to have observed while in this beautiful and friendly country.
I hope this series will appeal to the European enthusiast as well as the BR enthusiasts and again feel free to comment on any material or subscribe and like to the channel to help support it's growing popularity.
