Yeah, I'd be pretty happy too if I randomly found a $5,000 Chanel bag in an abandoned warehouse.
I've seen better fashion films but this one has an emotional intention that I love. "Gabrielle" represents someone that is gone. The bag is an object from Gabrielle that reminds "Kristen" her loss. Have you ever lose someone for his/her death? (...) Then the name written in the window, is like "hey, i'll always be around". Touching. (...all this from my personal oppinion u.u
That's what it meant! I loved the video and the art that was presented but I couldn't quite get the full meaning. Thanks

I incidentally got this advertisement catch my eyes while I was looking for a music cover video. Usually I would skip the ad immediately but this one is so amazing. Kristen hooked my eyes in her expression and beauty that I ended up here finding this cut. So in love with her.
It's weird. It's brilliant. It made me feel a bit uncomfortable at a couple parts, and it MOVED me. She's excellent and amazing, and it noncoincidentally ties in really well with her latest film.
She's not afraid to act out of her skin and do the things that we all do in private. I love it. Love her. Love this film. Daniel, you did amazing. Brilliant concept. xo

Art is about separating one object (Gabrielle bag) from the rest of the universe and holding it up in such a manner that it appears to be the most fascinating thing of the moment. I believe this short film accomplished that. Art is also more about how it makes one feel as opposed to whether one understands it fully.
@Rose I believe the phrase we're looking for here is "comfort object", something which provides psychological comfort when under severe emotional stress. For a young child this could be a blanket or a stuffed animal--for a grown woman who is braving the world on her own, it could be a purse, such as this Gabrielle bag.
Notice how Kristen's mind and body were racing out of fear of the
unknown, yet after she found the bag, it put her mind at ease.

I adore this human being so much...
No doubt Chanel team is a genius -- as proven by their previous ad campaigns. I sit and watch their commercials on youtube on a regular basis. It's like cinema shorts. Kristen Stewart is a great choice, she is fresh, she is different, she is accessible yet mysterious. BUT, this commercial reeks of KENZO's latest commercial for Kenzo World. Still fun, still interesting but THIS team wrote the book on how to do these commercials, I know you can do so much better than this and you did -- there's that other one with Kristin that's just beautiful. Good luck! Keep 'em coming!
