The thing is people occasionally say to me I’m clearly nervous when I don’t know them well and talking to them, or they might tell to ‘relax’ or something, but the thing is often I’m not especially nervous, I just communicate in a way that may seem sometimes slightly erratic etc, when I’m just trying to express myself, and it’s a bit frustrating

She is one of the greatest actors ever. SIX legendary movies in only ONE year. What fascinates me more about her is that she hates the paparazzi, she hates the shining fame and to be known in public, but she passionately LOVES her job; acting, and she does it while and despite having social anxiety. I have great respect for her, I can't even eat in public. It means HOW much she loves acting. Stewart is a very rare character, other actors act for fame not because they're passionate about acting (except for Leonardo Dicaprio I think..).
I've never seen any of the Twilight movies,I heard she sucked as an actress but then I saw The Cake Eaters,Welcome To The Riley's,Wonderland and The Runaways and I thought she did a very good job in all of them.
The Twilight movies are hilariously terrible, through no fault of the cast (the acting is pretty much the only thing that's of high quality more or less all around, but given the weakness of the material, it may be easily mistaken for bad acting). And Stewart was really good in American Ultra.

I'm a medical school student with social anxiety, it's such a hindrance to everything :( I love people and that's why I chose this career, but any interaction with people I don't know well makes me feel so self-conscious, and I'm expected to speak to patients with confidence and make them feel like they're in good hands but it's so hard to do that when I come off like Kristen Stewart in this interview. I don't know how I'm going to get through interviews when applying for residencies

I am a little late to comment on this but I just wanted to say I am French and I was at the César when she made her speech and honestly it was so great !! Of course she made mistakes but let me tell you when I speak english in front of a lot of people (and even here I am sure I am making some mistakes) I also can messed up -> but that is not really the important think here : she tried to do something nice for us and honestly that's what matter the most she didn't go the easiest way and ask for a translator she tried -> it was such an honor she came at all that I don't think people in the room payed attention to her mistakes they were just happy she tried (at least I was :) )
I can't imagine having to cope with anxiety in the face of such celebrity. It is hard enough in a normal life. Celebrity is just so much more added pressure. You can feel and see her discomfort often. My heart goes out to her for pushing herself through. She has gotten more comfortable overtime and does better when she likes and respects the interviewer. Her Tavis Smiley interview was just great. Also figuring out how to handle questions about her sexuality in the face of her celebrity and being true to herself in the process. That is a lot for someone to chunk off and figure out in ones private life without the added pressure of being in the public eye constantly. Folks who say she is rude and self absorbed don't have fleets of cameras following them when they go to get a cup of coffee. That would wear on anyone. I feel bad for her. It would make me angry to have to deal with that constantly. I think considering all these things she is an amazing being especially for just being 27 years old.

They don't talk about their past work again and again since it's been years. What fascinates me more about her is that she hates the paparazzi, she hates the shining fame and to be known in public, but she passionately LOVES her job; acting, and she does it while and despite having social anxiety. I have great respect for her, I can't even eat in public. It means HOW much she loves acting. Stewart is a very rare character, other actors act for fame not because they're passionate about acting (except for Leonardo Dicaprio I think..).

I'm a medical school student with social anxiety, it's such a hindrance to everything :( I love people and that's why I chose this career, but any interaction with people I don't know well makes me feel so self-conscious, and I'm expected to speak to patients with confidence and make them feel like they're in good hands but it's so hard to do that when I come off like Kristen Stewart in this interview. I am a little late to comment on this but I just wanted to say I am French and I was at the César when she made her speech and honestly it was so great !! Of course she made mistakes but let me tell you when I speak english in front of a lot of people (and even here I am sure I am making some mistakes) I also can messed up -> but that is not really the important think here : she tried to do something nice for us and honestly that's what matter the most she didn't go the easiest way and ask for a translator she tried -> it was such an honor she came at all that I don't think people in the room payed attention to her mistakes they were just happy she tried (at least I was :) )

I can't imagine having to cope with anxiety in the face of such celebrity. It is hard enough in a normal life. Celebrity is just so much more added pressure. You can feel and see her discomfort often. My heart goes out to her for pushing herself through. She has gotten more comfortable overtime and does better when she likes and respects the interviewer. Her Tavis Smiley interview was just great. Also figuring out how to handle questions about her sexuality in the face of her celebrity and being true to herself in the process. That is a lot for someone to chunk off and figure out in ones private life without the added pressure of being in the public eye constantly. Folks who say she is rude and self absorbed don't have fleets of cameras following them when they go to get a cup of coffee. That would wear on anyone. I feel bad for her. It would make me angry to have to deal with that constantly. I think considering all these things she is an amazing being especially for just being 27 years old.

I waited for Kristen to show up o Ellen because she has been in so many talk shows in years, except Ellen's. I always thought Ellen didn't like her and I still do. They don't talk about their past work again and again since it's been years.
