Yes, Botox is a treatment for male baldness. Male skull bones can expand in response to DHT (dihydrotestosterone). Bones are malleable, which is the principle behind tooth braces. Initially, finasteride can reverse this expansion. Forceful scalp massage may help, but over time, the expanding skull bones can put pressure on the microvascular network, leading to male pattern baldness. Minoxidil, a vasodilator, restores blood flow, but severe bone expansion can surpass its effects, resulting in baldness. Botox injections around the galea muscle relax it and restore blood flow. There are new studies supporting this approach, and promising results are emerging. Be cautious of the pharmaceutical industry, though. Evidence suggests that tension in the galea region, where baldness typically occurs, may be linked to skull expansion in the parietal and frontal bone areas (post-pubertal bone expansion) due to DHT.
I love this topic. I've been using oral minoxidil and oral dutasteride for a year at high doses and I'm still losing ground. I believe my scalp is very tense and therefore I might react well to this therapy but I've not heard of anyone that actually performs it. Can you expand on whether or not it's a typical dermatologist or somebody that has to specialize in this kind of treatment?
I think i have total faith in botox on scalp around my crown baldspot. Anyway neurolost do it around temple and occipital area for migraines and plastic aurgeons for forehead stress lines.. 😍

Got any scientific studies to back it up?
Any clinical studies?

Agree! Would love a more detailed talk on this subject, it’s incredibly underrated and an untapped area of hair loss!
