Nobody tells you about the worry you’ll feel for aging family members. Just how childlike they become. It’s tough but the love is still so strong. Anyway, I’m rambling. I always did my mom hair and nails. She was so spoiled and would bring her hands and feet every 2 weeks. She had me at 44 and people always thought my mom was my grandma. She didn't have time to take care of herself with 6 kids and 3 others. So I kept her looks up to remind her of her youth and how pretty she was. I also sing her favorite church song and listen to her stories starting from 1930s😅 the testimonies I NEVER get tired of. We just hae church almost every day. She sure loves me and I loved her back❤ This grandma HERE is a tough cookie😅 God bless her soul❤

I hope you were able to take a week off & recover so to speak. Your rewards are so great and hopefully they're not all waiting for you in heaven I pray God blesses you abundantly here on earth. My grams had developed dementia too she was always worried about money and thought s h e was broke too but she had money and anything else she wanted or needed. She also use to name call n cuss us out too. Its a hard disease to deal with definitely not for the weak. Rip granny

My brother and I endured this with my mother. Look at MCT oil and dementia/Alzheimer’s, Dr. Barrie Tan with vitamin e in the form of tocotrienol (only). Also L theronate (form of magnesium), Ubiquinol with pqq, and vinpocetine. Also look at Alzheimer’s and aluminum. God bless you and your family. Patience and acceptance of your parent not being that person that you once knew. Don’t dispute anything she says. Speak with your Aging and Disability office in your county, they were great help to us.

She have times when she do know what she's talking about. People just remember any of us could be this beautiful lady one day. You can tell she knew how to handle herself back when she was able to. When I look at her, I see a beautiful soul. My kids grandma had that same illness at 85 and we able loved her and made sure she was taken care with lots of love and care until the very end. I was taking care of a lady one time...had her sitting at the table ready to eat breakfast...turned my back for a second to fix her plate and she was eating a POINSETTIA PLANT!! I almost panicked..I got her to spit it out. You really have to keep a close eye on people with dementia..they go through the motions of eating, cleaning, etc but thats all it is...a motion/gesture. Thats why she put the money in her drink..she thought she was cleaning it with a napkin. She must have been something else in her younger days 😊❤❤❤
I'm just stumbling onto your family now. I'm so sorry to hear of her passing. She reminds me quite a bit of my grandma, teeny tiny like a baby bird and sassy as hell lol Being a constant caregiver for elderly, especially those with dementia can be so tough at times. Even though we know they aren't being mean or difficult on purpose, it still gets to be a lot. We need to find the humour and love where we can. Watching your gentleness and humour with her is so lovely. Thank you for sharing your life with us. I'm so happy you have these memories documented. She have times when she do know what she's talking about. People just remember any of us could be this beautiful lady one day. You can tell she knew how to handle herself back when she was able to. When I look at her, I see a beautiful soul. My kids grandma had that same illness at 85 and we able loved her and made sure she was taken care with lots of love and care until the very end. Thank God she has a loving family to take care of her. Thanks for sharing

I was taking care of a lady one time...had her sitting at the table ready to eat breakfast...turned my back for a second to fix her plate and she was eating a POINSETTIA PLANT!! I almost panicked..I got her to spit it out. You really have to keep a close eye on people with dementia..they go through the motions of eating, cleaning, etc but thats all it is...a motion/gesture. Thats why she put the money in her drink..she thought she was cleaning it with a napkin. She must have been something else in her younger days 😊❤❤❤

I'm just stumbling onto your family now. I'm so sorry to hear of her passing. She reminds me quite a bit of my grandma, teeny tiny like a baby bird and sassy as hell lol
Being a constant caregiver for elderly, especially those with dementia can be so tough at times. Even though we know they aren't being mean or difficult on purpose, it still gets to be a lot. We need to find the humour and love where we can. Watching your gentleness and humour with her is so lovely.
Thank you for sharing your life with us. I'm so happy you have these memories documented. I'm going to miss my Gma so much when she's gone, which won't be long from now. Love and light to you 💜

This is why I truly love my Job and all the wonderful folks like your grandma I get to meet and take care of. Make then smile, gain their trust and do all I can to make them happy even if just for a few minutes for some. I won't know the answers until I get to speak with the lord one day but I do know I love love my people and sure would have loved to meet your grandma. Thank you for the videos and your amazing soul.
